The wipers on my 97 legacy have a "slap" when they return to their bottom position on every cylce. Is there an adjustment for the wipers or do i pull off the arm and rotate them one notch on the shaft.

No other adjustment other then to pull the wiper arm off the mounting shaft, and move the arm about a quarter inch up from the base of the windshield upon replacement. Sometimes there is a bit of trial and error to get the arm swing just right.
