remote entry disconnect

Featured Replies

my gt came with this wireless entry unit. it was hanging down, lots of loose wires and no remote. i decided to remove it. when i took it out, the driver door no longer operates with the electric locks. anyone know how to restore this to the original wiring setup without the entry unit??

If I had a wiring diagram for the keyless entry I could tell you.

What year? I'm assuming it's a Legacy?

97 legacy GT, auto

it appears as though there was a label(?) glued on the back of the unit. it may have been a diagram but i don't know, it's gone. any one have a wiring diagram for this?

thanks

John:

I have the full install book and It will show the wires you need to reconnect to restore the system to normal operation.

Get me your address and I will send you a copy. It is too large a file to email in PDF

I have a spare replacement remote. I purchased 4 of them off Ebay and only used 2 so far. $25 shipped.

I put one of these in on a 96 GT and it needed the additional Driver's door actuator installed. The car did not come with the electric door lock on the drivers door.

You might want to check under your door panel and see if that is the case.
