help with fan blower area

Featured Replies

Long story short I was only going to replace a light which finally had me removing the blower fan then to removing the resistors for the blower and that's when I noticed I have about 2 inches thick of leaves and pin straw.. I find it hard to believe that some kind of rodent was in the car?

Anyways the car is a 95 Legacy L wagon I have no cabin filter... my issue is how can I remove the whole box that the evaporator is in since I have no shop vac..

this thing is completely blocking the whole evap.. maybe that's why I have no cold air?

well if your brave enough stick your hand in where the blower fan came out of and just pull the stuff out thats what i did with my 96 Legacy..I had a very similar looking Evaporator blockage...Or if you have compressed shop air...stick a blow gun in there...that will get kind of messy though...

yeah with a glove and a little help from the blower motor with the blower motor resistor taken out I turned the speed on high and for the stuff I could not reach it blew it out right on my face after I was not expecting that.

It's much better now and my eyes don't itch while driving.

Oh yeah and this is what came out!
