I got a manual vortex wreck as parts for my auto vortex.

How hard is the manual conversion are the computers the same . manual is 86 /auto85.

I know how to do everything except changing torque converter for fly wheel and if the computers have to be changed,as well as the dash guages .

Any help with this info would great

Auto to manual conversion isn't too difficult. The hardest part is swapping the Auto pedal box for the manual one. Changing the Flex plate/Torque converter is simply a matter of unbolting it and bolting the flywheel on.. I had it easy. When I did mine, i had the motor out of the car already, as well as the transmission.

 

You will not need to change the computer. Nor will you need to change the dash, unless you want too( I plan to as soon as I find a digidash from a manual car )

 

Do a search on the board for a parts list. This has been covered extensively, and recently(within the past 2 weeks)
