July 19, 200916 yr if i have a set of 90's Legacy heated mirrors and a non-heated set, can i "convert" the non-heated one by swapping out the guts? i didn't see a simple way of disassembling the things so thought I'd ask. the heated ones are cracked a bit and the wrong color, but obviously i could paint them.
July 19, 200916 yr i didn't see a simple way of disassembling the things so thought I'd ask. the heated ones are cracked a bit and the wrong color, but obviously i could paint them. i took 2 broken mirrors and made 1 good one, but i don't remember how i took them apart. i think there is a screw or screws near where the wires come out, undo it and the works will slide out of the housing. or maybeyou have to remove the glass to get to the works/screws... i can't remember. if there isn't a screw, then use that diagnostic hammer you keep in your tool box.
July 19, 200916 yr Author oh yeah, i saw those screws, just not how i imagined it being put together. i was thinking the mirror would have to come off, but maybe not. i have a legacy parts car, so i got spares to play with.
