Engine vibration. 99 Legacy OB Wagon

Featured Replies

have a 99 AWD wagon with 2.5 & auto tranny. have engine vibration which seems to occurr during eccelleration maybe after 1800rpm. replaced axle on driver's side with used axle/knuckle a while back when wheel bearing had failed. that assembly appears to be tight per my mechanic friend. he thinks it is a tranny issue. engine vibrates when car is on jacks. vehicle did not move foward one time but was ok after putting it in reverse. any ideas how to isolate the problem or fix it? have checked the drive shaft and it seems to be OK. And just where did the axle come from?

There are lots of posts on vibration after an axle replacement.
