Hey all,

I am buying Subaru crossbars for my roof on a 2000 Legacy GT wagon. Noone can tell me what the max weight I can load onto my roof. One roof rack specialist said that the stock rails that run the length of the roof are the limiting factor, not the cross bars.

Can anyone help me out, as far as max load on the roof?

Usually it's around 110-150 lbs./50-70Kg for the OEM racks. Did you check the Owner's Manual? There should/could be a sticker on the stock rails, too.
