my battery is slowly draining tonight...

Featured Replies

I'm driving my 02 Legacy GT home tonight and I thought I saw a flash of light a few times near the radio...then I saw it...it was the ring of light circling the ignition switch...it flickered on/off a few times...then stayed on.

When I got home and shut car off, it stayed on...checked it 45 mins later and still on...sheesh!

Anyone got ideas???

thanks

Those things are usually hooked into the courtesy lamp circuit some way or another so they come on when the door is opened and stay on for a little while. It might be that the module that makes that light turn on has gone tango uniform and is just constantly on now. Something that small I wouldn't worry too much about unless your battery is old.

Should just be a little LED illuminating it, many cars have that on all the time.
