...anyone....?

I only ask becasue since I've owned the car I haven't done a tranny flush, not even sure if the previous owner ever did. Plus, I've been having trouble shifting and it seems like maybe flushing the tranny and putting fresh oil in it will fix the prob....but I need to know what kind of oil...

Perhaps you haven't gotten a response because you haven't told us which trans you have. Some details, please.

03 WRX...what tranny oil should I use?

Well, you should use whatever oil you are comfortable with provided it is properly certified and meets the requirements listed in your owner's manual (also listed in the Haynes manual.)

As far as a specific recommendation, some of us happen to like Red Line 75W90ns. I use it in my '95 Legacy tranny.

Good luck.

So I guess we're discussing a manual trans. In that case, flushing isn't commonly done.
