September 10, 200916 yr Well I have the EJ/RX gearbox in place, I modified and used the EA82 gearbox crossmember, used a EA82 gear linkage, modified slightly and a lengthened driveshaft. I will take some photos and post.. With all this bolted in place I find the swaybar will not fit, the loop that goes over the exhaust now wants to occupy the same place as the rear of the gearbox....:-\ What have people done to overcome this problem??? All my suspension is original Brumby.......Ian
September 10, 200916 yr ditch the swaybar.......it is not that much different. besides the fact that only one of those trans is on this side of the ocean(so far)........most of the folks here are running ea82 d/r trannies.so i really do not know if anyone has run into this.....cheers, brian
September 18, 200916 yr i ran into the same issue when i swapped the RX box into my brumby.... i heated it an bent the loop down flat then i took it to the spring makers up opposite where the motorcycle wreckers used to be to get retempered. cheers Callum
September 18, 200916 yr Author Thanks Callum, I had thought of talking to them at Brown & Cope (I think they still go under that name) to see if they could rework the swaybar for me. Only have to make up the air intake pipe now, the air filter box is mounted where the jack used to be, Please stop in when you are in town next....Cheers Ian
September 18, 200916 yr You might take a look at the EA81 2WD sway bars. They are shaped differently in the area of the exhaust loop and it may just solve your problem. GD
