so i picked up a 1973 GMC vandura school bus cunversion i know what you might be thinking but it was 200 bucks and the school district owned it so it was taken care of and only has 82,xxx miles on it. so0o0o0o i wil get pics up tomrow. plans are gonna be for a party bus or a camper probly a camper.

I tried to find a picture from the movie road trip... of the school for the blind bus, but couldnt... I assume it looks similar to this though...

 

sadly no its not that style its different its built on 3/4 ton GMC running gear it had a tommy lift but they took that off but it will be cool

ok so good news got her home she runns like a top drives smooth and has some ponys to boot gonna clean her up a bit and get some pics.

Paint it Flat Black and let me do flames on it! I can do some bad rump roast flames with rattlecan,

 

 

 

Like that, I did that all with spray paint.

ok she is haha lots of cool stuff from the build sheet it has heavy duty runnig gear so it rides liek a bus it has a high amp alt. and the stop sign haha lots of cool little things i will list later but for know here it is.

hmmmm more or less just a high roof van. Looks like you will have to sand it all down to repaint it since that tiki paint is all flaking off :-\

 

too bad its not one of the dually ones... you would gain SO much interior space with one of those.

wont need to sand i started to spray it with the hose and the tiki stuff started to fall off its some kind of craft paint not latex but something els. yeah i was sad when it wasnt one of the wide body ones but its still huge inside i can put a bed coutch and small table and still walk around in it. and i can stand up inside it im 6ft6 so thats good. overall im very happy

Are you going to paint it or leave it yellow. Looks like youve got some side mirrors to replace as well. Should be a great party wagon or tailgate bus. Or even a great tow rig as well. How does it run.

yes it will be a camper/tailgate party/tow rig. It runns very very well even has duel exhaust sounds. Im gonna paint it flat black then probly have bill do some flames on it.

My Aunt and Uncle bought a Kititas district bus years ago and converted it to a motorhome. It was one of the most awesome motorhomes ever

ok so the GF convinced me to do tribute to the vans and we are gonna go oldschool

ok so got the G M C off the hood and cleaned them up and got some back ground color on them PICS i need to get pics of the progress up melissa and i have got almost the whole thing painted. i thought a GL wagon took forever to paint geez. but it is flat black and it s gonna have some slime green flames

 

befor this they where blue then i cleaned the paint off and there is some decent chrome there a few spots peeling off but all in all i like it better than bluw what do yall think?
