When I went to SOA asking for support they wanted to see numbers, they are used to seeing the numbers of much larger new school events and turning those down. Yet, the folks I talked too looked further than that because of the nature of the show. When we didn't have but a dozen in advance registrations it looked bad and they lost enthusiasm. We need to get in early and make a good showing. I believe that based on the numbers who pledged to show next year, and the returning ones that we could do much better than the first year and get SOA's attention. Still we did do well this year and had a respectable showing. The west coast guys have huge meets and I know that this show could be THE east coast meet. Well, I am commited to doing my part.
