CIS Subaru Posted December 28, 2003 Share Posted December 28, 2003 One of my wife's co-workers has been borrowing my '83 2wd 5spd Sedan that I bought at auction for $75. I didn't realize that it had an oil leak, so she hadn't been checking the oil and it ran very low early last week. Friday it blasted a rod through the top of the engine. Suby, my bet is it had a gauge and no idiot light, with all the malfuntioning sender units on these cars, she could have ignored it. MilesFox Posted December 29, 2003 Share Posted December 29, 2003 what is up with soobs blowing rods lately? roberts just running today broke a rod thru the block, intake gasket failure myoss feece's RX is knocking bad all of a sudden(carb block project now) and to top it off, the 4wd conversion sedan lost its entire custom dual exhaust clean off the motor but my car runs fine! but it has a bent wheel, broken axle..
