  1. Hey Kevin, a blast from the past. I hope all is well with you. As far as that RX goes, Im not really sure what came of it. Im pretty sure someone on this board has it now but its probably hammered pretty good by this point. How is that XT6 holding up?

  2. ok, i think i got this thing together now. i clicked view conversation, now it looks a little different.

im proud of you. when you get your grades back...would you be opposed to meeting up for a drink to celebrate? thats out of character for someone who is "like the wind".

    CONGRATS!

  3. For starters...is the oil cap secure? Also in favor of the carb cleaner leak diagnosis.
  4. Yeah, this is pretty crazy. Like myspace for Subaru geeks?

So I added you as a friend. Were we not friends before this?

    Hmm.

  5. will be up for it next time...i had too much happening that day. catch you guys next time?
  6. dude, when these things go really bad youll be smoke screening to spy hunter-esque proportions. it can actually be quite comical. but seriously - vice grips or channel locks work perfectly for this. youll also need a new part and about 10 minutes of your time to have this thing replaced. its a good idea to pull the trans governor out during this time and inspect. if it looks like the plastic cog/gear on it is apple-cored at all, swing down to your local yard and pull one that isnt. if i remember right its only 3 10mm bolts holding the cover on over top of it.
  7. back when i was an avid poster here there was pkdavis and an australian company? that manufactured lifts for our cars. are these guys still in business or have other come up with better solutions? planning for a spring project. thanks.
  8. only like 3 different ones for EA cars if i remember right. i think the EA81s had one version, the 85-87 GL10s and turbos had another and the 87.5s and up had a third. Im not really sure what im looking at in the pic but i would think its the last one if any.
  9. thanks, it was a fun car when it ran...someone from the xt boards owns it now i think.
  10. who owns that ultimate rx now? also...those are some stellar numbers, this was a swap i take it?
  11. the FT4wd xt turbo that i had would light all 4 wheels up, however i always dumped it on wet groud because i didnt want to break anything underneath. i honestly think it would have on dry ground with no problem, but i drove the car everyday and the tires were pricey. here was my mods list (i pulled this from an old post): -IHI VF11 Turbo with modded wastegate rod (ive seen boost at 1900rpms) -K & N intake -WRX stock downpipe and midpipe with a 3inch straight pipe (no muffler), the best example of a boxer engine ive heard so far without being obnoxiously loud and aside from scoobie steve's STi swap. -full XT6 suspension front and back with adjustable KYB's in the rear -XT6 brakes, rotors and 5 lugs -shortened shifter with Honda knob and boot -Volvo By Pass Valve -Turbo XS standard boost controller set at 11psi as of yesterday to help with fuel economy. Setting the timing back will get you to 14-15psi safely. -Ford T-Bird intercooler -custom short throw shifter -3.70 rear LSD and RX FT 4WD trans -XT6 clutch and lightened flywheel -677/260 Delta cams -XT6 wheels with 205/60/14 new Sumitomos -complete XT6 interior including dash, seats, trunk and paneling -Autometer boost, temp and oil pressure guages -plenty more little things i cant think of
  12. more often than not theyre way more trouble than they are worth.
  13. paul, come to harrys and ill meet you there any weekend with some advance notice. let me know if you need my #.
  14. those engines had starter issues. i had an xt6 that had a starter button installed to bypass all the wiring for the switch in the dash.
  15. if youre lucky SOA might send you a template-style email saying something like "we appreciate your enthusiasm in our vehicles but we currently do not have any use for your 1.7 million mile subaru. but as a token of our appreciation heres an sti key chain."
