  1. Yes, give me an e-mail address and I will send pictures

  2. Anyone owning a Gen1 Justy ever changed out there seats with another vehicle without much modifying.
  3. I thought that there was a A/C relay that turns the fan on automatically when the A/C is turned on besides the thermo switch??? Can someone set me straight about this???
  4. Hi guys/gals, Can someone tell me if my electric cooling fan on the radiator has a relay and where I can find it. This is on my 93 loyale wgn. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Thanxxx for looking, I stopped into the dealership again and they said that they were just getting ready to call and tell me that Subaru claims that hose is obsolete and to retrofit with a aftermarket temp/pressure hose, so I`ll look into some fuel line or coolant line of comparable size. Thanxxx again...Ronan
  6. Hi All< Could please use some help. I had the small coolant hose that runs from the thermostat housing over to the midway point on top of the block, finally fail on my 92 Loyale 1.8L spfi. I stopped into the dealership to order one and there parts pics on computer is terrible and poorly vague. The parts rep was getting annoyed with the pics and telling me that it must be obsolete. He took my name phone# and said he would call Subaru parts helpline? and get back with me. That was Friday. I would like to get the factory pre-formed since it has a couple of bends. Anyone have their hands on a Subaru parts book that could look up this number for me? I`d really appreciate any help that can be spared...Ronan
  7. I posted this very subject on another board awhile back and got backlash for it. In my neck of the woods, 12" that goes on my Justy is practically an exotic now and was told back in September from the tire dealership that 13" will be faded out over the next couple of years.
  8. My 87 gl wgn had a UHaul installed hitch that had 4 bolts in the bumper and 4 bolts spaced in the rear deck area. This sounds like the same design. Before I traded the car, I removed and installed it on my 93 wgn. I have towed upwards of 2500lbs before. I use mine frequently to haul my 1000lb Burro trailer around. 1500lbs should`nt be an issue as long as the brakes are in good working order.
  9. OK, finally a great day to troubleshoot my demise. I traced out all the vac lines and could`nt find any issues. Now I`m getting frustrated. I notice while starting and turning off the engine and standing on my head so that I`m down there next to the blower motor it seems that instead of hearing the dampers close off, that the blower motor seems to slow down instead. I rap on the end of the blower motor and the damn thing takes off blowing like it never has before??? I turned off the engine and back on repeatedly and cycled through the different vent functions and it`s still blowing like new. I love the results but don`t know what the fix? was. Now I`m concerned that it`s a sign of a blower replacement in the near future...RONAN
  10. I drive a 88 right now and it`s a blast. Talk about a real head-turner since it`s probably the only one in a 150mi radius of my location. They have fantastic power to weight ratio with great gas mileage. A 94 is FI and not as many problems as the GEN1 carb models. The engine has a major flaw with the oil pump design and are prone to failure, but I`ve been fortunate so far. My car is a manual GL-4wd. Avoid the automatic transmission since they are failure prone also...RONAN
  11. 1987 My first break was destroying my front cv halfshaft on my 87 EA82 while hauling my screaming wife (in labor) to the hospital. I put it in 4wd and got there on the rear. Lucky for me, it was still under warranty and I did`nt happen to deliver my son in the car.
  12. Changed mine a year ago. I had a similar problem, no socket, nut frozen. I drowned it in kroil and rapped on the nut to work that oil in. I used heat on it until it was smoking and with a brass punch and hammer broke the nut loose with out damage to the slots. Good luck, I can sympathize with working out in the elements. Waiting for all this rain to pass out of my area so I can start troubleshooting my own problem...
  13. Land of the rising sun is the birthplace for "reversed engineering". The only thing that they truly invented, was GODZILLA! Just one mans opinion>
  14. DAMN RAIN!!! Were in the extreme drought area region for the U.S this year -17" and now mother nature decides to make it up. Been raining for the last 4 days and now there calling for 3" to 6" of snow. sooner or later I will get out and chase down that suspected vac leak.
  15. You think that`s priceless??? Perform it in a 9ft long 3 banger!!!
