This may sound funny but my mechanic told me about this years ago and I have been doing it on every car I've owned since... MAG WHEEL CLEANER. Do it as if you were waxing your car but use Mag Wheel Cleaner. It gets out just about everything and your lenses will be clear again. If the lenses are really cloudy it may take several applications, but it works! Once you get them clear just remember to do it every time you wax your car and you'll never have cloudy lenses again.

I highly disagree with ShamanDave! Just the other day I had a motorcycle following me for about 10 miles with three (thats right, three) lights on the front of his bike. I don't know if he purposely had his highbeams on or if it was by design but it was 12:00 noon and by 12:10pm I had a migrain. I so felt like getting out of my car and beating the ************ out of him. I would have changed my rearview to the night mode but as I have the auto-dimming mirror there is no switch to do it manually and the auto dimming feature does not work unless it is dark outside. This is a major Duh on the part of Subaru, I should have been able to darken my mirror manually.

I purchased a 2002 Outback LLBean H6 with 59,000 miles on it. I Love this car. I have owned many 6 cyl engined cars and this one is very strong (even though it is only 212 HP) and up there with the best. I have nad no problems (knock on wood) and would definately keep buying Subaru. Just one wierd thing to mention: when I floor the gas, there is a slight lag before the engine responds. Once it does it becomes very fast very quickly. Is this just my car or is the computer trying to figure out which wheels have the best traction? Also, if I am driving easy and the car shifts into second but then I want to pass, I will floor the pedal but the engine will not downshift back into first even if the Revs are still relatively low. This is very annoying because I have to wait for the R's to spin before getting the pick-up I'm looking for. Anyone else notice this. Is it just my car. Is there a fix? Later guys, Milz

Does anyone know the proceedure for opening the bumper mounted fog lights to replace the bulbs on the 2002 Outback Wagon . The manual has this wonderful help to offer... "It may be difficult to replace the bulbs. Have your Subaru dealer replace the bulbs if necessary". They use the words "if necessary" and yet there is no other information on how you may do it yourself. I first tried to loosen the screw next to the lens until I realized I was just adjusting the lamps' aim. I then tried to unscrew the two screws holding the top of the assembly. This did loosen the assembly but then it seemed as if something in the back was still holding it in place. I think I may need to remove the rock protector from inside the wheel well, but I am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
