I have done a rear caliper conversion on my brumby with liberty rear calipersand backing plate and made a adaptor using e-brake cables and bolted handbrake to floor.Works well and cheap to do.The hardest part is machining the drum down to a hub and fitting 5 studs thus able to fit wrx wheels. thanks marshy

I would tend to think the welch plugs in the top of cylinder head have coroded as they are not brass when bulit new.Water is running under these and leaks into rocker assembly area then into sump.You could also have head gasket problem but not normally have water in oil when that happens in the subies.
