  1. ^^Yea the whole thing is extremely messy, I want it to look clean. I have a power washer? would that harm it? I really dont want to go over every individual piece. tips? ideas?
  2. So I started it up for like 30 seconds, pumped the break a few times, it felt weird, like "not" smooth and even, more like jittery and with like little resistance, anyway Im guessing that they DO need to be bled now...
  3. After Searching the net, I noticed that when I added fluid to the tank, it wasnt completely empty there was still about an inch or so of fluid, but it was still low, so do you need to bleed them if that was the case? I dont see how any air could have gotten in there if alls I did was remove the cap and pour in some fluid.? Am I right? or what?
  4. ^^^yea, I do, do you think a 16 yr old who knows slim to none about cars could pull it off with no help?
  5. Wont it like, uh, work itself out over time? like if I drove around in a parkin lot for like an hr or 2?
  6. ^^what that says, First, I have a 93 Subaru Loyale S/W 4WD Manual. I did it just like the directions on the bottle said (The Brake Fluid Light was on the dash), So I poured it in, shut the hood, went inside the car, pumped the pedal a few times(without the car on) and it seemed to get stiffer, I havent been able to drive-or start- the car since I did this(my parents are out of town with the keys + I still have only a permit) just wondering if that is all I need to do and they are good to go, or do I have to have them professionally "bleeded?"
  7. Hello, I'm about to buy some audio parts from Crutchfield for Christmas and I need to know if my car has this "trip computer" or not? So can you tell me what to look for and what not?....I have a 1993 Loyale SW 4WD. Thanks, Tyler
  8. Well I searched around for awhile but couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for, so here it goes. I have a 93' Subaru Loyale SW 5 Spd. 4WD. The Speakers in it are all blown, so I am replacing them and the headunit. So what I need to know is all of what I will need to do this. Here is what I am installing http://www.epinions.com/Alpine_CDE_7853_628006 and 4 http://www.cartoys.com/product.cfm/p/STM_6666_6_1_2_2_Way_Marine_Speakers For the headunit I don't have any wires or anything like that I just have the main unit and faceplate. Is that a problem? Where are all the speakers in a 93' Loyale? I only found 2 that are in the front doors? Are there more? After taking out the stock stereo I looked at all the wires and stuff and the plug is too big for the one on my new stereo? What do I do? Is there like an adaptor or something I can buy? Oh, and I am aware that I will need one of these http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=265-738&AID=1457539&PID=1313893 but what else will I need? besides some electrical tape and basic tools? Thanks!
  9. On the bottom left of your steering wheel thing there is a black plastic lever Mine is stuck. what is it for or what does it do?
  10. Hey I have a 93 Loyale 4WD SW. When looking at parts I see all kinds of GL81 EL82 EL and stuff? What is my car? What parts will fit my car?
  11. Do you think it would be a smart idea to still have the shop look at EVERYTHING so I know what needs to be done. Come May 2nd (When I get my License) I'd like to be able to go have some fun!
  12. It's a push button. Like I said Im new to the car world because I'm only 16. Thanks for all the tips, Keep'em coming! Tyler
  13. Well here it is. I'll be getting my license on May 2nd. But I better start working on it now. Suggestions? Comments? Oh, and yes the spare tire is next to the tiny engine. It is a 1993 Subaru Loyale, all wheel drive, 5spd. manual. I'd like to be able to take it offroad someday. Any suggestions? I'm gonna bring it in to the shop so they can check what needs to be done and give me an estimate also I'll have them give me all new fluids. I also have an Alpine stereo I need to put in it. Im not the most "car literate" person in the world so give me details, tips, w/e. It needs alot of work and TLC. What kind of wipers should I get I am in desperate need of them? I really Like pretty much everything off of http://alliedarmament.homestead.com/SubParts.html however I am young (16) and money is kinda hard to make, although I do have a job. I def. wanna lift it and get big tires on it! wadda you guys suggest? For pics of it: http://www.bikeguide.org/forums/showthread.php?t=61276
