  3. 1993 Loyal 5-Spd. Pushbutton 4WD S/W 12 Starter Switch or Circuit 34 EGR Solenoid or Circuit What is it? Where is it? What do i gotta do to it? How much/where can I get a new one if I need it? Thanks

  5. Ok maybe it is just my car, or maybe not. Codes 12 + 34.... Anyways on my 93 loyale 5Spd. S/W When you shift from Neutral in to 1st it bogs way down and then finally starts to accelerate, even if i push the throttle to the floor it still bogsssssssss and then excelerates any ideas? Oh and it does it all of the time, whether or not the engine is hot or cold. Now I prolly sound stupid, but i think that my car is a lot quicker at night, as far as acceleration etc..... s that just because its cooler out? Also after about 5 min. of driving my check engine light comes on....how do i diagnose why? So Im thinking theres either too much gas OR too much air goin into the FI....or could this be an o2 sensor problem?
  6. Do you think I could bring it to a Sub. dealer, have them diagnose the problem, and then tell them I'll be in touch etc. and then go do the job myself?
  7. Thanks alot guys....any estimates how long it will take to do the oil pump, timing belts, etc.? It would be first time for me.
  8. Ok lemme start from the beginning, Its a bit long, so bare with me. About a year ago my parents bought a 93 Loyale 5Spd. S/W everything was fine.....It was low on oil, so my dad procrastinated and FINALLY added a few quarts, my mom (thought he didnt add it) so she thought she would add some also...then the car started the classic TOD symptoms/noise. I bought the car off them (before I had my license) and started working on it one of the first things I did was a oil/filter change. THE TICKING STOPPED!!!! I got my license 3 weeks ago and added seafoam to the oil(thought it would help clean everything up so that it wouldn't tick again) so about 1 1/2 weeks later it started ticking again(i thought it would do this because it would make the oil dirty again) So I change the oil/filter let it idle for about 3 min. and the ticking STOPS. Great, so I drove around all week with NO ticking. Today I take my first drive on the Interstate, and while Im getting up to speed (70 mph) it starts ticking again. currently the car is ticking pretty loudly and I just don't know what to do. I know it can be a lot of things but where do I start? I need to fix it fast( my friends don't think to highly of the car how it is, lol) Thanks, alot Tyler
  9. Ok, On my 93 Loyale 5spd. SW pushbutton 4WD, it is dripping gas from some sort of "metal diaphragm"? It is coming from about 1 ft in front of the right rear wheel, near the fuel pump. An suggestions? I can get pics tomorrow if it will help. Thanks Tyler

  11. Hello, I think I have a bad O2 sensor....does this show up on the ECU? and does anyone have a link of how to pull codes/what the codes mean? I looked in the USRM but that only went up to 1987(I think) and I drive a 93 Loyale wagon 5sp pushbutton 4WD. I've never pulled sodes before so hmmm??? Thanks, Tyler

  13. If you wanna know FOR SURE try it out in a parking lot and go slow in a tight sircle ....you'll no it it is on or not because your tire will like skip. and sqeauk
