  1. I got notification that an echeck was paid, but that I have to wait until it clears. Waiting to hear from paypal that it is cleared.

  2. I'm not sure. It should fit quite a few different outbacks and legacys. If you give me an email address, I'll email you a couple pics of it installed and you can see if what is under your car looks similar.

  3. That would be fine as long as you pay shipping. It will also be 4-5 days till i can ship it out.

  4. I have the advantage of not having any road salt used in the winter. No rust or corrosion. The sensors appeared to still have the step down ends. They were not rounded off. I haven't had the time to take it apart again will try this weekend.
  5. I recently replaced my front brakes and front strut. I unhooked my front ABS sensors and put them back in during all this. Now my ABS light comes on when I start my 96 Outback and I no longer have ABS. I took them apart again and could see nothing wrong but still nothing. Any ideas?? Thanks, Robert
  6. Wheels are on their way. I will try to remember to get the tracking number out of my car later.

  7. Hey Nipper,

looks like I'm gonna have to sell my lift kit before I could even install it. Keep your ears open if you hear anyone asking.

    Robert

  8. Hi Nipper:banana: yes I'm still alive, just haven't had the time or money to install my Outback lift kit yet:dead: I figured at least I could get started with my brand new struts and Scorpion springs that I have had sitting here looking at me for the last year . My current outback has about 150,000 miles on it and the struts and springs feel great, but I'm not sure what condition the tophats are in. Do I need four of them? or just the fronts?? My neighbor works at a local car dealership, and told me if I took the current struts off of the car, as a complete unit with the springs, he could take them to work and put the new struts and springs together for me. Is it that big of a deal, or should I just rent the spring compressor and do it myself?
  9. I found a neighbor who will assemble my new springs and struts if I take them off of the car as a unit. What extra parts do I need other than the strut, spring, and the strut top with bearing, if I want to replace everything? Or is that not necessary?
  10. Awesome Job TY!!!! Do you remember the model # of the bearing by any chance? Most of the rebuild kits I see on ebay are just the seals.
  11. i too live in S.C. and I had a reasonable experience with the Subaru dealership in Greenville.
  12. I still am having trouble pinpointing the noise, but the pump is leaking and when I put fluid in the resevour it is gone in a few minutes. Does that settle it?? Anything special I should know before I take it off? Should I get a new serpentine belt??
  13. I'm starting to get a growling noise from the front of my engine. Engine is running good. A/C is running good. Is there anything that I can look for to narrow it down? The noise is not a squealing as much as a growling.
  14. The kit I purchased includes lifts for each strut, lift blocks for all attachment points between the transmission, engine and the body, and a steering extension. This along with taller, stiffer springs, and new struts, gives me the ability to put 29" Super Swampers on my car. Overall I'm guessing I'll end up with 4-5" of lift over a stock Outback, but I won't know until I install everything. Once my job situation gets settled, I'll get to work on it, hopefully. This is what I hope to end up with. Not sure if this one had the King Springs on it, or just the lift kit and Super Swampers.
  15. First you purchase a very hard to find, body lift kit, which I did a year ago. Then you get a very expensive to ship, set of King lift springs from Australia, which I also did. Then get a skid plate, which I did. Now I just need to find the time and money to install it:banghead: Maybe someday:(
  16. sorry to hear that meat. I got everything I ordered from them. It took awhile but it made it.
  17. Sorry I meant next Tuesday:eek: Hell they are still working on my VW:confused: It's gonna happen though, all the parts are here except the super swampers. Woooooooo Hoooooooooooo:burnout:
  18. Now I better hope my 86 diesel VW Golf is out of the shop this week so I have something to drive, while by Outback is getting lifted!!!!!!
  19. Well i'm hoping to get a little better ground clearance and a firmer ride for offroading. I have 2 sets of 15" Alloy rims, so i'll have 1 set of 225-235 70 15 road tires and one set of 29 x 8.5 x 15 Super Swampers:banana:
  20. Next Tuesday my 96 Outback goes in for its lift!!! New KYB GR-2 struts, King Springs heavy duty springs, body lift kit from Allied Armament, Subaru skid plate, and new Super Swampers!!! Pics to follow!! Shop said no problem coming in every day to take pics and to watch if I want!!
