  3. I believe there is a very good possibility of a strike on the US, in the near future, most likley the coasts. I'am inland but emp could still reach here.
  4. Just wondering if anyone knows how to emp proof an ea82 sube? I understand the principal and am in the process of emp proofing solar, generators, ect. seems to me a car body is a faraday box just needs to be grounded good ??? any comments would be helpful. Thanks JOE:headbang:

  6. My 15 yr old pulled the engine on my sube and replaced the clutch, he and his brother and i lifted it out by hand in our open air garage. one day total; very easy,just mark all wires and hoses . good luck JT.
  7. What is the process to leave feed back on itrader ? I have bought from several people on this board and would like to leave feed back for them thanks JOE
  8. I just had to fix mine although it would pull back up by hand. The pedal gear attaches to a pin with a barrel shim I had to take it off about 3/4 of the way and use pb blaster on it . work it around a bit and put it back together. hope this helps JOE.
  9. My son just installed a dfav weber on his 87 wagon the dfav has the choke on the back side all else is the same he has power steering and a choke on the front would not fit, plug in to the hitachi choke wire and you are good to go.

  11. I know that I saw the jetting for a weber on a ea 82 engine, but can not find it now. is it somewhere I haven't looked?? or does someone have that info. many thanks JOE.

  14. Any body know how hard it is to change pan gasket on 86 4x4 n/a 1.8 with the eng in the car? also the best place to get gaskets? thanks JOE:grin:
  15. no power to the electric fan. is there a fuse other than in the fuse box ? where does the fan power wire go?? thanks for any help JDT
  16. 87 sube 4x4 5spd d/r carb. it was bought with blown head gasket, pass side ,replaced then started her up still lots of water vaper from tail pipe, and from drivers side between trans and eng.No water in the oil, runs fairly well. another blown head gasket? cracked head? best guess would be great what to look for. thanks JDT:mad:
  17. Doe's anyone know offhand if the front axles from a 84 d/r 4sp wagon to a 85 d/r 5sp are interchangeable also the rear. thanks for all your help. JT:confused:
  18. Where is the best place to buy front axle shafts for a 84 gl/10 4x4 wagon? my right front is going GROWL-GROWL it moves easily at the trans connection THANKS. JT
  19. When changing to a 5sp d/r in an 84 4x4 d/r 4sp 1.6 eng. what all is needed for the swap ? also the console needs to be changed? does the 85 or 86 console fit . Thanks for any help:banana:
  20. GD thanks for the info just went and checked, found the wires switched them and presto egr light went out. sorry i didn't mention i have a 85 d/r carb. gl-10 wagon. thanks again Joe.
  21. Good deals are still out there. Started looking for a weber for my sube, found three and a two piece base plate for the sube Free no cost, zip ,zing, zero. will put one on the sube and one on the toyota. made my day. thanks to USMB and all members for such a great site:clap: :clap:
  22. So I put quaters in the air pipes at the exhaust headers. Works great:headbang: But I still need to turn off the egr light (without cutting wires) any thoughts?? Thanks for any replys.
