ill try it!! thanks dood:headbang:Sounds like a choke that's stuck. Next time, take off the air cleaner cover and prop the choke open (you can stick a screwdriver in there) and see if it fires right up. -
i can fab up anything you can dream of-if yoiu wanna take a little trip down here id help ya out:brow:Alright i really really want a custom made roof/luggage rack for my 87 subaru wagon. but i need some inspiration. although i have a general idea of what i want i would love to see some pics of other peoples custom luggage racks, preferably with off road lights. I was also wondering if anyone knew how to install off road lights to the stock ea-82 front bumper. I want two of them in the center. but i cant figure out how to blot them on there. do i need to cut? or take off the bumper? has anyone done this and would like to share there thoughts? Hopefully with the help of some welders i can make my luggage rack a possibility. -
my car will fire right up in the mornin, at 12 degrees...but after warming it up and driving it 20 miles, it doesnt want to restart...it does finally, but after 5 sec of cranking and my foot floored...any ideas?? its a carbed 1987 gl wagon

quote]what doors interchange on the cars? will a wagon rear door fit on the sedan? where can i find side skirts for it? that will prolly be the extent of body mods...does any one make aftermarket headlight for it..like the angel eyes or cateyes?

well, i found a 91 lecagy turbo today, it has the ram air hood on it.
it has a broken steering wheel, a brocken seat belt, a brocken windsheild, and some body damage on the pass side, on the door sill, like someone bottomed it out.
it looks pretty clean minus the above listed problems, all can be fixed easily.
one problem is that it idles at like 3k??? what could cause this??? easy to fix? i am an experianced technician but while shopping i dont have any diagnostic tools...
the turbo works well..in fact really well, when i gassed it doing 25 in second gear it chirped all 4 tires on dry pavement!!!! my wife lauged and i grinned.
well long story short-i offered him 800.00 for it and bring it home thursday...what can i do for mods? power increases..common problems...where can i get skirts for the sides? problem areas???
any facts on the car would be apreciated-im new to subaru-ive been a toyota tech for 10 years..thanks guys

i have an 86 gl10 wagon, and i know that the rear struts are adjustable, but the fronts look as though they may adjustable as well....are they? how do i do it if they are? thay look as though they have two screws or bolts at the base of the strut that might be for adjusting height, they are stock by the way

well i put 215 70 15s on it today, they fit well, with no lift, rub a little on fast big bumps, but ill lift it a lil soon, still looking for pug rims if yall got some
-
thanks guys, ill mount one up at work today, i work at a tire shop, i just wanna see what el fit on em, but i will continue my search for pug wheelsI dont have experiance running on the spare tire rims, but I know of some people who do, and they dont have any problems with them. a spare tire rim will work for as long as you want it to, they are designed so they can get you home or to a tire shop or wherever safely, and if they can do that, the length of time that you run them isnt going to matter. they ARE however not as strong as the stock rims, and they will dent and stuff more easily but odds are you are not gonna get stranded cause of it unless you were doing something extreme to start off with. I can't and won't say you should run with spare tire rims, only because I dont want to run the risk of feeling responsible for anything wrong that should happen, so run them at your own risk. Albie out at AA runs the spare rims with 29" swampers and he abuses the hell out of them.. one of them is bent, but it still drives fine. -
ashland is 5 miles from california, and there is alot of camping around herescappose/vernonia has a lovely network of trails too. All the mud you can take! -

hey thanks man, i dont plan on wheeling it much, as i have a rock buggy, but i do want to add a larger tire to reduce rpms at freeway speeds.they should hold up ok fo this right? and as for the pug rims, i want em, where can i get em? steel preferably, thanks! You can use them and you could put a 205/60/15 on it. That is a maybe. I have heard that those spares are made out of another type of metal and will not hold up to much abuse. The get bent up a lot. A 185/75/15 would be a better choose. I would say just save up and go buy Pug rims. I am running the 205/60/15 Pug rims and had to do a little fender trimming in the back and stiffen up my springs to stop them from hitting the fenders. Just my $.02. -

i have a 87 gl wagon, with a carbed ea82, and have access to a 88 gl wagon with a spfi ea82, question is, how hard is the swap? i want to convert mine to fuel injection, as well as do an overbore and cams to it.
what kind of benifits am i looking at and how hard is the overall swap?
