  2. OK I am an idiot! The lights are off. I was playing with that stupid switch on top of my steering column today while waiting at a red light............wow! I am glad we are talking over the internet otherwise I would be extremely embarrased!!!! Thanks for all of your help huys:banghead: DOH! <---Self proclaimed Idiot!
  3. Yes, the brake lights come on when I hit the breaks, and when I take the breaks off the tail lights are still on. When I turn the headlights on the tail lights stay the same and when I turn them off the tail lights are still on.
  4. I just got home from a friends house and I pull in where my 1993 Subaru Imreza Wagon is parked and the tail lights are on! There are no keys in the ignition, the headlights are turned off, and no doors are left open but the tail lights are still on. I tried turning the car on for a minute to see if that would fix this but the car started right up and when I turned the car off, the tail lights are still on! Help! I don't really know what to do , except leave them on over night and let the battery die and then jump it tomorrow. Any help would be great! Thanks
  5. BUmp for anyone who may know what others would fit or know someone who has a set.
  6. I am looking for both but I'll keep you in mind if my search comes up empty. Thanks
  7. not sagging I don't have them at all! LOL I bought the car and didn't even realize there was no visors! One of those things that I would never check for until I need them!
  8. I have been searching for interior sun visors for some time now. I have 93 Impreza Wagon. Are there other years or makes that would also fit my car? I have searched the local salvage yards (junk yards just doesn't sound good) and they have nothing! Thanks
  9. I think that I understand all the instructions but I will know more as I get into it. Thanks
  10. It is an impreza my info needs updating, I joined this site many moths ago at about 1am and I must haev typed in the worng make (thank i never noticed that). I won't get to try and fix this for a week or two but I really appreciate everyones help. As far as the previous owner knows the airbags have never been deployed, and the carfax report didn't show anything. I read all these posts late last night, and got pretty excited of the possibility of having a horn again, so I went to bed in a good mood only to wake up covered in sweat and freaked out! I dreamt that I was fixing the horn go ing through all of the steps suggested and then I still had my hand under the steering column I pushed the horn button and WOW the horn makes soud. Next sparks shoot out I start getting electricutedand make my way back into the seat and what do you know POW airbag to the face, and that is when I wake up! So thank you al for your help and causing me nightmares! Again thanks for all your help/suggestions and I will hopefully get into this project (again being 'car dumb' this is a project for me) I won't be elecricuted or pummelled, but I should make some progress in the next few weeks.
  11. Thanks for the replies. All those terms are way over my head unfortunately. I'll do lots of research and then try everything that has been suggested, and I guess we'll go from there. Thanks again and if anyone can 'dumb' it down for me that would be great Thanks:headbang:
  12. I bought a 93 Imreza Wagon back in January.....great car! It has never had a horn since I have owned. I figured OK no big deal mu st just be a bad fuse. I finally get around to changing the fuse today and.......nothing:slobber: any other ideas of what could be going on? everything else in the car works great. also please keep in mind changing a fuse and checking the oil is about as car saavy as I get:D any thoughts or input would be great. Thanks
  13. Until you find a replacement put a seat cover on the back seat, that'll cover it until you can find a replacement. But don't you know that all women have a lie detector built in?
  14. If you've got the time I would really appreciate it!! VIN: JF1GF2448PK806694 email: bhelser@msn.com Thanks a lot:clap:
  15. Is there a website that I can go to check on old recalls? I don't have any real problems with my car but just curious. I have a '93 Impreza Wagon, that I bought used. I am not even sure if you can get recalls when the car is this old, but again I am just curious. Thanks
  16. Cold is an understatement, right now it is 7 with a -9 windchill here in bend!!! mand it is freezing!
  17. JF1GF2448PK806694 Thanks a lot really appreciate it! email: bhelser@msn.com
  18. After doing more rearch apparently I should only expect 22 or so in town mpg. so I guess nevermind:rolleyes:
  19. I have a 93 Impreza Wagon, and I am only getting 20 mpg. from what I have seen this is low. The miles are all in town but I still didn't figure to get that low when I bought the car a month ago. I just changed the air filter, and it will be getting a tune-up this weekend. There is a belt that is loose and causing an awful noise that will also be replaced this weekend. I am thinking these things will help but am open for any other suggestions anyone may have to get more than 20mpg
  20. Now I may not carry much wieght with my opinion since I have only had my 93 Impreza Wagon for about a month but I love the car!
  21. I recently bought a 1993 Subaru Legacy wagon. The horn does not work at all I am hoping it is something simple like a bad fuse. I bought the fuse and opened up the fuse case, but it is all in Japanese, and I don't have an owners manual for the car. Does anyone know where i can go online to read a manual or a fuse chart? Or any other suggestions of what the problem with the horn could be that would be simple and inexpensive to fix as I am not very car saavy? Thanks for any help
