  1. Well I got my 00 OB on the road again, new reverse gears, new clutch, and a new set of Assurance TripleTred by GoodYear it only set me back $2500! OUCH!!!!! Well there goes my vacation this year, but at least I will get another 80,000 out of her. The clutch was original and it was in good shape but I figured 85K I should just spend the money and get a new one. The tires were a Killer deal, I got them mounted balanced warrenty and sipped for under $$500, they retail just the tires for over $600 from GoodYear. anyways now that I have her back and she is running like a champ I need her lifted a bit, does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe a supension lift?
  2. I just want a replacement of the transmission. I will use whatever will work.
  3. I have a 2000 2.5 5speed manual Outback. What years and models are interchangeable with my 2000 OB??
  4. Out here in Olympia, WA all the country girls who drive trucks have a sticker on the back window saying "back off city boy" well once I get my lift I was going to to put on my back window "Back off country girl" Now that I see it in writing its not as funny as I thought it would be:confused:
  5. back to the tire problem on the roof, well its a wagon right? about about putting that tire in the back
  6. when its done you should get some pics up and show us your progress

  9. Ok so I was hoping that some of you guys would like to come over to my place for some BBQ, BEER, and WRENCHING. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken breasts, and I dont care if you are into the 420 all I ask is that you are not seen by the nosey neighbors The Kid, Oly, WA
  10. 3 reasons, one, i perfer a 6-speed, 2nd lower RPM at highway speeds, hoping for better gas, and last my 5-speed is trashed
  11. I did a quick search on this and I may have just been looking in the wrong places but I really would like to swap out my 5speed for a 6-speed. I have a 2000 OB wagon. What do you guys think? Can it be done? Thanks, The Kid, Olympia, WA
  12. I saw a sweet green one, I think it was a 78 brat, in Australia.
  13. well as wet as Washington is I think I will go with the Kumho's.
  14. hey thanks Zap, for the extra 30 bucks a tire I think the Kumho's would be the best way to go.
  15. zap: what is the main difference between a/t and m/t is it the number of plys? Phizinza: not sure they are 14" pug rims
  16. I have been looking at several different tires from My Kumho Venture M/T's (27x8.5R14's) these are $87 a tire. I have found that these are really a great tire. How ever alot of people like the Walmart Liberators, they no longer make them in 14s but they do make the Uniroyal Liberator A/T size: P225/70R14's. These are only $52. So what do you all think?
  17. ok looks like 2 maybe 3 for sure, and 2 maybe 3 interested?? Personally I am ready today for my lift
  18. My car has always be serviced my the dealer untill I bought it. I pulled a plug 1st to see if I could find them else where, dont want to pay the darn dealer price. The brand name of the plugs are "ngk". They are $2 each at Shucks. The wires I got from Subaru. I replace my plugs in my cars every year. Its cheep insurance, just like on my boat. I am running OEM tires and wheels, and maintain 40PSI seems to be working for me?
  19. not sure if this belongs here or not, but I thought this was a good video, some WRXs getting wrecked http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2205595517661759042 The Kid, Olympia, WA
  20. I have a 2000 OB Legecy, it is a 5speed with 78K miles on it. I was only getting 20MPG when I bought the car. The CarFax Report says I am the 3rd owner of the car, and that it has been to the dealership every 5K miles for check ups. With gas prices hitting 3.17/gal in Olympia, I am tired of 20MPG. Well I have replaced the airfilter with a K&N, the car seem to run better but MPG were same. Then I replace the spark plugs and the wires, got up to 23MPG. The last thing I have done was replaced the fuel filter. I am up to 25-27MPG. Not saying this is the only answer its just what has worked for me. Hope this is useful to some others. The Kid, Olympia, WA
