  1. ?? I was just estimating what they charge for a whole house. So expect a quick car cleanup to be 25-50 bucks... that's all I was getting at.
  2. you could also call one of those carpet cleaners with the vans that have the huge carpet cleaning machines in them....Maybe even drive to their location and it shouldn't be too costly at all (200-300 bucks for a whole house). I happen to work for a company (one of a few) that makes machines that do this type of work. Our machines can obtain heat under vacuum of over 230 degrees F. There are millions of carpet cleaners out there that can get er done for you.
  3. So how to get to the front edge trunk area to remove the panels? From the trunk, pull seat backs down and remove all carpeting, or ?? thx...Jeff
  4. Interesting reading...I am having the same dilemna as a few...I have a 93 Legacy LS Sedan. btw - our Suby mechanic said there are 2 sensors for the guage itself....one handles Full to about 1/2, the other from about 1/2 to Empty...with that one being more accurate. Then there is a separate sensor for the low fuel. We just bought the car and are worried about the low fuel light. Again, the mechanic said he's never seen a light go out....but always a first time! The needle on the gauge was on the top left back corner of the "E", now its pointing at the right front part of the "E" so I know it's moved a bit in about 100 miles.....but seems like it didn't move enough! No light yet...when could I expect it to come on? I could wait OR the fill up idea sounds good...if I fill up and get 12 gals, etc...then I'd know there were about 4 left, etc.. Should I bite it and just fill up? I am itching to see that low light come on...
  5. Hmmm...I noticed a small fuse box in the 93 Legacy I just bought....opened it and nothing is in there that I can see. Is there supposed to be something in there easily enough visible? Since I don't have a manual (someone is sending me one which I'll get in a few days), I was wondering. Does that mean I am not in AWD mode? What does the FWD label mean? Thx...Jeff <edit> searched and found enough info....should not be a fuse it there for AWD so that's good! couldn't delete my post.... </edit>
  6. no, it does not... but I first press the button, then go into one of the gears...should I be in a gear first and then push the button? etc... <update> Tried it all different ways...up my steep hill. Indicator light never comes on. I also drove the car down the road, stomped the gas and the performance indicator never came on (it does light when the car starts though, so it's not burned out). Are the 2 related in any way? What should I look for on the manaul mode...why the indicator light isn't on. Is there a way for a not so obervant of shift patterns newbie to know if it's working or not? </update>
  7. does the indicator light actually turn on? I don't see anything happening at all whern I push the manual button in gear 1,2 or 3
  8. How does one know if manual mode is working? I never see a light come on...tried placing in 2nd and 3rd only....(was in the garage, but running the car). Should a light come on signifying it is in manual mode? and it has only to do with tranny shifting, not with AWD, right? Power light: I see it come on on start but nothing after that - should it ever do anything? Or does it only work if in manual mode, etc.. Sorry if silly questions, just bought a 92 legacy ls for my daughter and want to ensure I know the car features, etc...(may be getting a 93 turbo for myself shortly!). Thx...Jeff
