ATTN: Scrub2k
American Auto Wrecking is one yard I'v never checked out. I've been to D&D, D&S, airport wrecking and PnP. Oh and on your air shocks just replace them with standard spring struts. Thats what I had to do with my old 87 GL-10. Ok we are gonna have to plan a meet before the snow flys. See ya.

Building a roof rack
Hummmm sounds tempting. How much does it weigh? Only thing I would change is build it without the rain gutter mounts. I would find a way to mount it to my yakima rack so I could use it on my Legacy, Loyale and 84 Hatch. Neato. Sure beats a wooden rack in 50+mph Reno wind!

subieman replied to P K's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhat years were for the bad bearing? I have a 91 Legacy with 208k and nothing has ever gone wrong with the tranny.

My Wagon blew 2 Alt's... Why???
Brian, The voltage regulator went out on my 84 hatch a while back so I replaced the alternator with one from Kragen. 1 month later it went out again! Grrrrr I got a free replacement but I hope it's not something shorted in the car thats doing this. Let me know what you find out.

The Justy is still alive and well
Well of course I would rather have a 2005 Brat, that would rock! And Subaru should bring it back. But since they aren’t I think the justy is a good idea.

The Justy is still alive and well
Wow, is the justy coming to the US? I hope it's affordable then I might be interested in it. It needs the EJ22 or something though.

Turn signal modification
Worked great for me! Lights were just as bright, never blew a fuse. Give it a try.

Turn signal modification
I rewired my parking light to flash with the turn signals on my first 87 GL10 I ever owned. There are two bulbs in the parking light lens. One that lights the white part and another on the side that lights the orange reflector. I spliced the wires with the turn signal in the bumper with the orange reflector bulb. It worked great! I recommend the mod cuz I was worried about people not seeing my blinker also. The parking light housing also leaked and filled with water. So what better then to stick a rubber fish in it and watch it swim around. haha ahhh the good ol days.

Does anyone have the firing order for a EA82?
Well Guess I was being pretty dumb. I had the firing order at 1,2,3,4. haha Doh! Fixed it and she started right up. Thanks again for putting up with my ignorance

Does anyone have the firing order for a EA82?
I need the firing order for the EA82. I replaced the dist and wires today and I have something wrong. It's only running on 3 cyl's. Thanks Oh and I checked here... http://www.cybrrpartspro.com/Chilton%20Manuals/8797m/8797CH02_27.HTML but it only seems to be for the EA81.

Help! Emergency! 91 Legacy Stranded (Still)
subieman replied to Lorryb's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyes thats what I'm trying to tell Lorryb. Without that tab the motor wont even try to run. Yes and make sure Lorryb your using the timing mark thats on the tab and NOT the arrow on the front of the gear.

Help! Emergency! 91 Legacy Stranded (Still)
subieman replied to Lorryb's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIt's hard to get the timing right the very first time. Keep trying untill she starts up. It took me a few tries on my first timing belt replacement. Also make sure none of the tabs on your crank gear are broken off. There should be 6. I broke one off once and the timing sensor just wont work with 5 tabs. That took me a month to figure out. I had to buy a Loyale so I could get to work. haha Good Luck

Quick Fix for motorized seat belts???
Yeah my 91 Loyale's seatbelts stick in the closed position also. When I open the door I just stick my finger in the locking mechanism and move it around a bit. Low and behold the seatbelt moves back!
