Does the board have a list of Sube guys / gals who will try to help a traveler in trouble ? I will be driving an 86 GL-10 from NJ to Maine in April or May (600 miles). The car has not been driven in 7 years but I have not been able to find a way to move it that I could afford. Sooooo will have to drive it. Will be going from Nj, to Maine on interstate roads. Any suggestions will be welcome. I will have cell phone with me and do have AAA, so can get it off the highway anyway. Thanks ! Milt

Well, got the 90 Legacy running today -- runs great Put a battery and some fresh gas in it and she started right up-- everything works, I killed the grille getting the hood open, so need a new one with the clips. The price was really right -- got it for free Thanks to all for your help ! Milt

I have looked into U-Haul truck and trailer, very expensive rental of truck and trailer plus mileage was well over a grand. Time frame is pretty much open -- does not have to happen within a month or anything. sometime in the spring is probably workable. Thanks

Is there anyone here on the forum who might be interested in moving my GL-10 wagon from NJ to Maine? A few details -- car is in running shape -- was sitting for about 7 years, I got it running in December, but decided not to try to drive it 600 miles home due to its sitting for so long. It is registered and insured. My main concerns are : my minimal sube experience in light of it sitting for so long, (timing belts etc) possible mechanical breakdowns etc. I live on a fixed income, so professional movers are out of the question. Thoughts -- suggestions etc?

I just looked at a Loyale -- 5spd,4x4 has 210k miles, body fair, minor dent in front fender. Owner was not home, so not sure of engine or running shape, tires fair. Opinions please -- worth looking into further? what is it worth? what should I be looking for re: problem areas? It is a 4 dr model too. I am considering changing to Mobil One synthetic oil due to hard starting in the bitter cold we have had. Car has 150k miles on it and has been on 20W50 oil from Castrol. What does everybody think? good idea or bad? Another possibility is a 5W30 reg oil ? Thanks

Are there any special things I need to know or do to engine / trans as far as maintenance is concerned. A bit of history on the car -- inherited from my Mom after her passing on. has about 135,000 miles on it, was maintained by the original selling dealer. Sat for about 7 years after her passing. I got it running after turning over by hand to make sure it was not stuck. new battery, fresh gas and it started pretty well. runs great -- purrs like a kitten. I did notice a couple of things -- turn sigs are not working, and the "trip computer" is dead -- any ideas? Thanks

Hi everybody I have just acquired an 86 GL-10 wagon. turbo automatic 2x4. I need to know how to id the engine -- 1.6 or 1.8? Need fan belts and have no clue what to get. also what is ea82 etc? I know stupid questions but I am a real newbie here. Thanks!
