    Justy

not what I had in mind... I jacked it up tonight and got about 2 inchs out of it... I may notch the "unibody" whihc is more of a mud guard for hte engine and that will allow the steering arms a bit more room. it doesnt sit to bad right now and it has 73 horse which is damn near as much as ur ea81 from my knowledge an my XT with the Ea82 MPFI only has 97 so whoopty do. car also onyl weights 1700 lbs were as the Brats probably weight more then that. like I said I may try to squeeze another couple pucks in this weekend and see how it goes

haha thats pretty awsome. I finally sorted the electrical issue on the Justy tonight. Is there someweres on here were I can get a General Idea how to go about a body lift??
  4. I will that sounds really good actually
  5. I never looked into it.... maybe I should
  6. wont he have to convert to a rear ebrake then?? becuase the impreza knuckle will need hubs rotor and caliper to?????
  7. ahh.... well if your looking into a strut upgrade to go to http://www.xt6.net and check out "hucks front suspension project" at the front. it tells you how to put impreza adjustable coilovers onto your car by switching top hats and such
  8. Im goingto have the same problem im using XT6 and XT N//a if u can find a Turbo tranny tehy run the same spline as the XT6 the turbo XT and XT6 both sahred the same spline were my regular has 23 splines

yea Im thinking if I got some longer bolts maybe I could sticka couple hockey pucks between teh struts an the strut towers.... yes Im canadian (hockey pucks)

    Justy

Yes this is probably sumthign that will get laughed at but for a joke I want to take the littel 4x4 justy I was given and do a little lift to it.... then for laughs take an old set of 4 wheeler tires an have fun. anybody ever lifted a jsuty befor an have any tips....
  12. IVe checked that Ive bin chasing the issue since last year... its fuel injected and Ive even taken parts from our working justy and swapped them on it to jsut to be sure it wasnt them.... the guys on XT6 are saying its the motor mounts and it could be as I know dad did a half rump roast job on them last winter and put pieces of a fan belt in there because they were starting to go .... this was befor he gave me the car
  13. awsome Im on my way then.... Just gotta get the car
  14. hey guys just dug my justy out for winter.... the car is bucking really bad doesnt matter if u got her to the floor or u just ease on it she bucks. Ive replaced the wires, plugs, coil, coil pack, ground wires, fuel pump, fuel filters.... everything but a distributer cap.... anybody else have a bucking problem ive heard its common on the Justys from a wire on the distributer cap but I have already redone this wire... Im thinking it might be a distributer. also has anyone ever lifted a Justy or does anyone know how Id really like to give this one a little lift for kicks :-\
  15. and just a couple more questions if you dont mind.... Im planing on dolleying this car because its AWD I need to take the driveshaft out or the axles... whats it take to drop the driveshaft also did the XT6 come with drums on the back??
  16. so technically I can just throw the rear end in the car without using rear axles and a rear diff becuase the axles pug intot eh spindle and the spindle holds th wheel on... sounds beautiful
  17. yeah thanks guys Im pretty straightened out now I dont want AWD in my non turbo XT it woudl be the ultimate gutless wonder so Im pretty much going to shove the rear out of the XT6 in my car use my 2WD tranny and just use the outer axles wtick them through the hubs and bolt em on... it should work fine
  18. I have no idea what u mean by stub shafts and the XT6 has failing air ride and requires the floors welded in which Ive done to mine my motor has 90 000 kms and the 6 has 170 000 wich still isnt bad... and to be hoenst Ive never bin a fan of the H6 motor because it just means 4 more valves to tick for me. and were Im looking at a turbo in the near futur the exhaust is already there for the 4 banger were as custom exhaust will need to be made for the H6.... I also have no knowledge of potential of an H6 an 6 parts are hard for me to get... I can get alot of XT parts off of loyales etc
  19. okay so I was thinking, I could do this whole swap using my tranny (2wd) and the rear out of the XT6(AWD). now I wont have a way of bolting the wheels on because the axles are not runing through the hubs/rotors and there is no rear diff there because my tranny is 2wd so the wheel can be torqued on. what if I take the rear axles and cut the threaded tip off at the start of the boot shoving it throgh the back of the rotor/hub assembly were the full axle usually goes (pretty much using it as a spindale) welding it right there in position.... now the wheel can be put on and the big nut can be screwed onto the peice of axle that was welded in. if anyone can understand my long idea and thinks it may work let me know??
  20. yes they are both 5 speeds and my XT is not a turbo but that is also going to change this winter... I really wanted to avoid AWD as I always looked at it as dead weight but i supose I would be quicker off the dig as I woudltn be spining. ohh is the AWD ran threw the ECU or is it all mechanicle... if its ran through the ecu I dont see how I can make it work.I also dont know how exactly I would get the rear diff up in there and the tank is shaped differently... it be easyier to put my 4 banger in the XT6 body also what was meant by this post is that I have a N/A(naturally aspirated) XT 2WD and I am buying a XT6 AWD so Im curios for the five lug swap what all I will need from a 2WD XT6 to keep my XT 2wd or if it may be possible to get what I need for the back from the legacy that is while trying to stay 2WD
  21. hey guys I am very clsoe to buying a XT6 however I have just found out its an AWD and my XT is a 2WD Im jsut curious now what I need to get to complete the rear swap and if maybe legacy spindles + rotors + hubs can be used.... thanks alot guys
