ahh, thats right - i think i remember reading that somewhere. the year range you're talking about sounds about where this would fit in too. My coworker says he thinks the guy he bought it from said it was from a 96. I remember seeing the ad he sent me when he bought it...but I can't remember much. Well, at least I know the miles were pretty low and it'll get the job done either way. Thanks again for the help!

I picked up a free motor from my coworker, which i believe to be phase 2 EJ22...but I was hoping someone could identify for me. Case reads EJ22 - 42 AA 2LLL(or 111, can't tell), 42AB 3247 Heads - 384225, 384229 The Intake manifold/injectors that came with it were possibly from a EJ25...but again any help would be appreciated.

sorry it took me FOREVER to reply, my deck actually isn't having skipping problems except over really violent bumps(which i usually slow down for if caught in time). So to answer, no it doesn't skip, might be the type of deck i have though! I love alpine decks and would swear by em, so it might be the type of deck you have...
