I'm in the process of putting heated seats from an Outback into my Baja..I'll update as I get closer to installation (swapping the covers, too)

Does anyone know if the 2006 seats will fit 2000-2004? (connectors and all)

Folks, In these days of high gas prices I'd like to retrofit an Outback Fuel door release to my Baja. I know I could just get a locking gas cap but where's the fun in that? I have a 2004 Outback that I can reference, and the 'CD' manuals, but I don't see anything on how the cable is routed or anything like that. I believe that it's all inside the vehicle. I assume that Subaru left this off due to difficulty in getting a cable to snake around the bed area. If it's an issue of cable length, I know that Tandem Bikes have some extremely long cables and I'd like to try to get this to work. If anyone can get detailed information on how the Outback one is attached/routed. I'd appreciate it. Evan

Great to hear that you built your own cover. I've been looking at the Ozbros's cover. Would you share pics and techniques on how you made yours?

I put these in my Legacy, then took them out and put them in my Baja....very easy, just need the heated mirrors and the and the switch.

I have wiring diagrams from a CD i bought on-line, but I have no idea what VSS is. Please clarify and I'll see what I can find.

Hey Subie FOlks, I just traded in my 2004 Legacy for a 2005 Baja and have been installing all of the goodies I took out of the Legacy. One part I installed but never wired-up was the Lighted Ignition ring. I was sure the Baja would have the connections for it, not so. After studying the wiring diagrams, I found the correct way to wire it. If anyone is interested, please let me know and I'll write a procedure. ...and no, it was not pre-wired for it! Evanism

This may sound odd, but those 'Pet Hair Removal" sponges you see actually work, and work very well! I had a hard time with dog fur on my velour seats until I tried one of these and now I keep one in my glove box. I highly recommend it!

I bought one on December '03. Sticker was $21,724. 'No dicker' price, with $750 rebate and $200 extra ('cause we bought 2), was $18,929. Besides the standard 35th package, it also has splash guards ($91), and autodimming/ compass mirror ($183). Might have done better, but unlikely with thier policy, and being so new in the model year. Oh well, still had a blast driving it in the snow this past winter!

Hey Folks, I have a 'bad' habit of trying to add things to my car that it wasn't suppode to have. I have a 2004 Legacy Sedan, and am trying to add step lights (lower corner of front doors) and an ingition light. I have the parts and can run wires, but I'd like to fine the factory connectors for them. Does anyone know what company Subaru uses for their connectors? If I have that, I can probably search for the ones that fit. Thanks, EVanism

Is this the same gearbox as in the Legacy's?

Has anyone added lights behind the big 'SUBARU' area between the rear lights?

I just bought an 04 legacy. I've been hearing about a few problems with these models and would like to know what folks have had trouble with. My only problem was that mine was delivered with a bad O2 sensor, and was back at the dealer the second day I had it. I do enjoy the car and hope it remains more trouble-free than my last car, a 96 Mystique.

avk, I did it on a Legacy and can only answer for that type (same as outback) . What type of sube are you working with? Evanism

I have power windows, so no crank. The ring is about 2 full turns of wire.

Hey folks, I was trying to install factory curb lights into my 2004 Legacy. I assumed the wiring would be there, but it wasn't. When the door panel was off, a part fell off that I can't find a home for. It is a round wire ring, a little over an inch in diameter. Does anyone know where this goes? Also, can anyone tell me about the wiring for these lights? Thanks

Ok, I'm a little weird, but I want the illuminated ignition ring for my Legacy L, like the Outbacks have. Has anyone tried to get one or put one in? Thanks

It was just over $100...a bit pricy, but I'm a little more sane now!

It was a breaze in my '04 legacy. I just ordered the wiper stalk for the outback sedan.
