  1. i will pull the belt and see how the pulley spins
  2. When I flushed the cooling a couple weeks ago, when I refilled the system before I put the thermostat back in I started the motor and expected to have alot of water come out of the thermostat housing, I had a hose in the radiator. water came out but not max volume, how fast should th ewater have come out? I have been dealing with a under cooling problem for some time, when it is above 60*F and driving at speeds above 55 MPH i start getting warm, if I turn the heater on I can keep it cool, so I assumed the radiator was plugging up but after the flush/cleaning I did, I am now thinking maybe the water pump is shot, I have both the clutch fan and electric fan and even with the electric fan on it will overheat.

  4. No, and this is a really fun event and it is a crowd pleaser when smaller rigs show up the full size rigs, so if you have a lifted and moded subie show up and show us what you got
  5. The Faithwheelers our hosting their 4th annual obstacle course. Several sections of the courses will be completely redesigned, including a revamped mud bog to handle more traffic - and that doesn' mean easier. More challenging climbing obstacles in the Tuff Truck course including a new UROC style obstacle. The mogules and trenches are being replaced - you'll need to wait and see what we're doing here! The Obstacle course for smaller rigs will be lengthened and get a little tougher. There will be optional lines for the well built smaller rigs to test their skills and capbilities. As always the event is FREE to everyone. Preregistration is recommend but not required. We'll have more info up on our website at www.faithwheelers.com early in Febuary. 6. from the PNW4WDA web site http://http://www.pnw4wda.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1717 "Folks below is a e-mail from DNR about information on the Wagon Wheel timber harvest impacting the 4X4 trailhead at Tahuya. The Quadrapaws has been working with DNR on this sale for 11 months. I hope this will not inconvenience anyone. We hoping the logging contractor will be done by the end of June 05. After the contractor has turned over the harvest site back over to the recreation side of DNR. There will be work parties scheduled to restore the existing 4X4 trails from the trailhead. Thanks Jeff Williams Quadrapaws 4X4 Club PNW4WDA Tahuya Land Matters Chairman To Quadrapaws: Road construction is in full swing on the Wagon Wheel Timber Sale which encompasses part of the 4x4 trail system. We have temporarily closed the 4x4 trailhead off of Elfendahl Pass Rd. Access to the trail system will remain via the East Tahuya Spur Rd (which the gate will remain open), and the Spillman access point across from the Spillman Campground. The South loop will remain available and also the JBXR trail to the Mud area. Once harvesting starts in April of 05, we will attempt to keep both access points open for the rest of the harvest. Concerns with the Spillman access are heavier than with the East Tahuya Spur Rd. DNR will take proactive approach to Education, Signage, Enforcement. Our partnerships with groups like the Quadrapaws will be of the utmost importance during this time period. 12. Went and got a new halfshaft from carquest and all is well, the splines got a little chewed up but i manage to get it on, gettinbg it off in the future may be fun:burnout:
  13. Who has accurately figured out their change in mileage after doing a lift and going to larger tires?
  14. So it was a nice day out, so I decide to change the passenger side halfshaft and everything when fine till I went to go for a test drive and I heard a grinding noise, turns out the new halfshaft seems to be slightly bigger than than the output shaft on the transmission and it was spinning on the shaft and broke the rollpin. Has anyone had this happen to them? A few months ago when I changed out the driver side halfshaft I had to return that one to schucks to get the correct one as the first one I got was two short. What is this with schucks? maybe I need to go back to shopping only at Napa. -end of rant-
  15. If anyone is curious(sp?) about what Tahuya terrain looks like here is a link to my recent trip to Tahuya there is some videos and photos towards the bottom of the thread.
  16. Tahuya is a fun place for vehicles not heavly modified, I do recommend having breathers extended as tahuya is know for its' flat muddy terrain, ther is a few hill climbs, rock gardens and puddles, it is maintained by the quadrapaws 4X4 club and has miles of trails, a stock subaru could make it there with a few challenges, I would recommend extended breather lines and lift high enough to be able to ford water holes about 30-35" deep most of the deeper holes have go arounds but some do not and lead to a little bit of pucker. A run later on sounds like fun . Joe
  17. I am going to Tahuya ORV park on Saturday, if any of you want to meet up, I will be meeting some other folks at the safeway in Belfair at 10:30. I am going to be taking my slightly modded Explorer. If you need more info on park let me know, it is fair mild. Joe
