Yes --I have the fobs I did the reset on the black box button etc. It worked before It's just been a while... Porc I just noticed that your in Buffalo.. My wife is from Tonawanda then Derby You ever eat at Hoaks on Lake Erie ?

I don't know because one of the fuses wasn't connected on the wiring harness. Once I replaced it and did the program code the electronic portion of the process worked but the actually locking and unlocking didn't happen... no mechanical movement:confused:

Our 96 Legacy has 220K on it... It purrs like a kitten I'm working thru a few minor bugs but I'd take mine for that spin. I live in Texas and it was 100deg today... These machines just keep ticking... Mine feels like a go cart

Lewis good work... There are two fuse holders and one was missing a fuse -- I put a 20 amp in there and pressed the button but I only heard the noise as it tried to activate. but the doors wouldn't lock or unlock. The keyless started working but no mechanical action. The fob does turn the dome light on and off too lock & unlock The parking lights and the dash and consule would turn on and off but the mechanics are lacking. Now what --it must be mechanical?? Since the electricial seems fine, do I need to jump into the locks them self? sticky or? What about the relay applying enough voltage to make the locks lock and unlock... Heck it's late and dark but I love trying to fix bugs... I don't hear no dam_ chirp either... Thanks though for getting me on track..

Its installed and running great... We bought the car new in 96 and it has 220K on it and you wouldn't know it. Of course we're in Texas and the body has no rust. We're trying to get to Colorado -- well we have been since 97 and we haven't made it yet. Perhaps about 1 year and it's the mountains for us. Anyway, it's so easy to change if it screws up --I'll return it for another. Thanks for the help though...

My electronic key won't work? I changed the battery but that didn't help? 96 Legacy The back if the unit says program transmitter before using??? I guess I need the programming instructions -- does anyone have them Thanks...

I got it -- I realize about the weight thing --I worked on office equipment for 25 years... It was just a little tough to get on --it's 94 deg too... The part of the starter where the battery cable hooks up to is broken --it fell apart in pieces when I got the bolt and nut loose. I had to use a sawzall to get it apart:grin: Auto zone $79 exchange will that one be OK? Thanks

The plastic headlight units on my 96 Legacy are so fogged over its cutting down on the output. I found some units but they're $150 ea. Is there another answer or? Thanks

Ryan, I could use gunk on the area and clean it off and then try and see where it's coming from once its clean. What say you!

I found a ARC rack & Pinion for about $250 @ car parts team Is it worth spending the money on this car? There is no body damage and it's in the sounth so no rust. I think the 2.2 is a great motor.. It had a belt at 200K How much should these repairs cost?

This car is fantastic. My wife bought it new in 96. It's like a go cart...One flaw would be the breaks but anyway... The car has 220K on it and runs great. It's leaking from the rack and pinion area and I need to find a local mechanic that can do this job. The cam and (or) crank seals are leaking too. The oil is landing on the muffler and smoking etc. The timing belt was replaced at 100K and 200K It looks like I can get all of these parts for under $300 but I need a good tech. Any ideas? Suggestions? I'm in Conroe Texas north of Houston. Thanks!
