yeah that picture was before i beat on them some more. they are 235/75/15's. 28" diameter. now they only rub on big bumps. i like the way it makes it look.

well i got my wheels drilled and mounted up. they still rub on hard turns and big bumps. much better than before.

will a speedo from an 88 gl fit into an 87 dl? i am asking because my dl doesn't have a tach and the gl does. would it be a direct swap? thanks

ok so i just got some new wheels. they are 15 inch steelies off of an izizu trooper. with 6 tires ( 4 that are brand new goodyear wrangler at's 2 that are about half worn) and 5 of the tires are mounted on rims already. all for a grand total of $175. now i cant wait to put them on. pics will follow

ok another question. has anyone used 16" wheels? i just found a good deal on some gm half ton 16 inch 6 bolt wheels. also what is the largest outer diameter you can use without lifting. cutting fenders is fine.i am currently looking at 3 tires there outer dia. is 26.1 27 and 28 with an 8.7 croos sectional dia except the 28" that has a 8.6

yeah i know 31's are big i won't be using them. i just wanted the wheels and the tires came with them. i don't think it would be that hard. weld the holes that in them now then drill the 4 holes in the correct spots and i would enlarge the center hole to match the subaru one. and they would have to be balanced anyway when i get the new tires on there. was also thinking cut the center part out of one of the 13's and use it as a templet on the 15's??? i have an extra wheel so if it didn't work i would still be good. any ideas on that?
-
havent measured them yet. if they are 6x4.5 how possible would it be to just weld up the holes real good and drill 4 new ones in the correct spots?
-
ok i just got home from the junkyard and i got some wheels off of a dodge dakota. they are 6 lug so i hope i will be able to use them. and they came with 31x10.5 tires. all for 59 dollars. one of the tires is bad though. i will try to post a pic of them. i know that those tires won't fit without a lift. i will just get some regular tires untill i lift it. -
what if i just put some 15's on it with some all terain tires? what would be the biggest tire i could fit without too much trouble, as i said before not worried about trimming fenders. would these fit? http://omaha.craigslist.org/pts/683795042.html

ok so yeah i will look at body lifts then. "stearing shaft must be lengthened (not offered at SJRLIFT )" how do you go about doing that?
-

choke problem/question please help
crazylong127 posted a topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
ok so i am going over my motor making sure everything is good. ( 87 suabaru dl wagon 1.8L 5 speed)the only thing i really have left is a problem with the carb. as of right now the only way that it will run right is if the choke is almost fully closed. if i open it up and give it gas it will just suck air. i have been meaning to hook a gauge to the fuel line but haven't had time yet. what are some other ideas you guys have?maybe adjust the float?? -
