  3. Hey Subaru Fans! The show is fast approaching, just a matter of less than a month away now. We are getting excited and hope you are too! Your response on the message boards has been spectacular, and we have more cars pre-registered for this year than we’ve ever had in the past! We will be closing pre-sale for merchandise items in just a few days from now. It will be closed to pre-sales at 12pm, Sunday July 25th. Pre-registration will still be open for a few more weeks, but will close shortly before the show also. Shirts and glasses are going to be available at the show; personalization will obviously not be available though. You are also welcome to register at the show on arrival, though we still encourage you to pre-register to cut down on the paper work and check in lines at the show. If you haven’t put in your orders yet, you can visit the store here: WCSS Store You can also still pre-register here: WCSS Pre-Registration We’ve got a great show planned for this year, we look forward to seeing all of you there! Thank you, West Coast Subaru Show Planning Committee
  4. Hey Subaru Fans! Pre-registration is now up and running! This years glass is a traditional pint glass with logo. Price is $10 for the glass. Personalized glasses are $3 extra, for a total of $13. We have also come up with a pretty spectacular t-shirt design this year, in attempts to get with the times. T-shirts will be $10 Check out the new online store and make your orders! Thank You! West Coast Subaru Show Planning Committee
  5. We are proud to announce that we have set the date and location for this years West Coast Subaru Show. We will be holding the show at Chelan County Expo Center in Cashmere, Washington. Chelan County Expo Center The show will be Sat. August 21st. As usual, you are welcome to come and camp Friday night, and stay through Sunday. The site looks very promising and may well provide one of the best venues we have had to date. We look forward to seeing you all there. Be sure to watch the website and forums for updates as we continue with the planning process.
  6. We are less than 10 days from the show! We wanted to take a moment and do a recap of all the information we've given out, in one clear concise thread. Show Basics: August 29th, 2009 is the day of the show. You are welcome to camp Friday-Sunday. Show Schedule: Friday: 4pm - Gates open for Campers Camp Fire that night Saturday: 10am - Start parking for show & shine Noon - Start judging 4pm - Finish Judging 5pm - Raffle, Awards Somewhere in all of that, we'll have the mudpit going. Camp Fire at night Sunday: Cleanup and Go Home All of this could change, but its what we are shooting for. There is NO rallyX this year. If you are going to show up late, we ask you be quiet and considerate of the campers already there. Trust me, you don't want to be "that person". Food: *edit* Saturday the local Eagles club will be selling Biscuits/Gravy and Coffee at 8, with Hamburgers and Hotdogs, noon to 4 approx. Saturday evening we have word that Subaru will be serving BBQ and/or chili. We have also heard that a local vendor may have a BBQ going on Saturday in their booth. Beyond this, you are on your own. Stevenson is less than a mile away, has several good restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc... We will have some local info included with the entrance bags, and there is also some good information posted on our website, http://www.westcoastsubarushow.com. Money: Camping - $10/tent for the weekend Registration - $10/car at the gate Shirts - $12/ea Glasses - $5/ea Showers - Quarters! WCSS is a cash only event, unless you have pre-registered, or pre-ordered your goods. To our knowledge, there is no ATM on site, please come prepared. Camping: Camping is field style, and will be roughly divided into a quiet, and a canadian side. Please pick your spots wisely! There are no open fires allowed. We will have access to a picnic area with large fireplace for the evenings. There are coin operated showers in the bathroom. Drinking: Liquor is not allowed around the show grounds. Obviously we cannot regulate you bringing beer and drinking it at your own tent, but if you have enough liquor that it could be considered distribution we are then liable for distribution of liquor at the show (even if you brought it.) No kegs. No public intoxication. Period. This reflects on us as the show organizers and every one of our sponsors, so it is something that we need to keep in perspective otherwise we may not have the backing to continue holding this show in years to come. Registration: Pre-Registration will be closed the night of the 21st! If you don't make it by then, you will have to pay at the gate. If you are arriving in a caravan, please be aware and patient it may take us some time to get you all processed! It goes faster if everyone is pre-registered. I hope everyone is as psyched as we are! Please ask your questions here in this thread, and we will do our best to get them answered. Tex West Coast Subaru Show Committee
  7. Hey all, We wanted to give you a quick update on happenings for the show. We've got several activates in the works for this years show, some of them being: A community fire pit on Saturday night. This will be held in a covered pavilion with picnic tables and a large controlled fire place. We have also worked with the show grounds to be able to hold our mud pit in the grandstand arena, which will provide covered seating in the stands. The Show grounds are located on the water, so there will be plenty of time available to get out and play on the river. There is an event taking place near by at the Home Valley Park called the Bigfoot Bash and Bounty. This event includes Bigfoot Bounty with prizes, live music, and Bigfoot experts. And, Of course, A show and Shine Saturday during the day, followed by trophies and a raffle in the evening. We have arranged camping to be a flat fee of $10 for the weekend (weather you stay one night, or two) We look forward to seeing you all there! Thank you West Coast Subaru Show Committee

  11. WCSS 11 Date and Location! August 28th, 29th & 30th Skamania County Fairgrounds in Stevenson, WA Sorry for the later than usual notice, but there have been some bumps in the road with planning this year. The WCSS committee is working though those bumps and committed to putting on a kick butt WCSS show this year. We are approaching the show very quickly, so if there are any questions that need to be answered about the location or plans for the show please post them up. We will have more details out soon! WCSS Committee
  12. Hey all, We wanted to update you to the happenings with the West Coast Subaru Show. There has been some re-organization of the planning committee this year and we are now getting underway with site selection. Once the location is decided, the date will follow soon after. We are intending to keep the show in Washington State this year and have several sites picked out to pre-view over the coming weeks. Our question to the Subaru Masses is what portion of the state would you like to see the show in this year? Would we like to go to the Southwest Washington region, the Northwest region or Central?
  13. First off, I want to thank you all for coming out supporting us. It is because of all of you that the show has grown and become what it has. This was by far the best show that I have had the privilege of attending and being a part of planning. Everything went as planned, and without major catastrophes. We have the planning committee to thank for that. A show that has grown to the size of WCSS cannot be held without the constant support and commitment of all of it's fan's and planners. To all of you out there, I would like to express a sincere thank you. This show has really set a benchmark for all shows to come, and I rest assured that with all of your continued support, future WCSS's will not be anything but bigger and better than each past show. If any of you out there happen to see or speak to any committee member involved in planning this show, I urge you to thank them. This show is a major commitment of time and effort. Our planning committee: Tex Monica Ken Q. Jaymie Q. Ed R. Jeanne R. Craig M. Richie, and his wife Lisa Dave Craig B. Art And last but not least, myself Dan R. Thank you again, Dan West Coast Subaru Show Committee

  16. Hello all, The show approaches quickly now, only two weeks away! We have a few big announcements and updates to make. First off, the autocross has been canceled. The organizers of the autocross event are no longer able to hold it at the site originally planned and at this point do not have the time to re-organize the event else where. We would like to express our sincere apologies for the late notice and cancellation of this event. We have had a few questions about fees for the show, here is a little bit of clarification: Show registration is $15 at the gate, or $12 if you pre-register. This fee covers all occupants of the car. There is a $5 fee for attendees of the show that arrive in a non-Subaru. Kids get in free. Registration at the gate will open at noon on Friday. Registration will close this Friday 8-8-08 The cost of camping will be $10 per tent or RV, per night. The cost of food will be determined by the concession stand at the fairground, the Saturday night dinner is still in negotiations for menu and price. Show attendees will receive a $5 discount at the Rally cross for wearing a show wrist band. Registration will be ending soon. It will close and the registration site will be taken down on Friday the 8th. Camping for the show opens Friday at noon. Any show attendees that arrive on Thursday are subject to being moved on Friday. If you have any questions please e-mail us at Westcoastsubarushow@gmail.com. Thank you for all of your support! Daniel Rodriguez West Coast Subaru Show Committee
  17. Today is the last day! Get your orders in. See everyone at the show. Tex West Coast Subaru Show
  18. The mudpit and the Rally-X share the same general field area. While they are separate, for safety reasons we cannot run both courses at the same time. Depending how things go, the mudpit may be open longer, we'll just have to play that by ear. We hope that anyone that WANTS to get dirty, has the opportunity, and we will certainly work towards making that happen. As for morning espresso and snacks, we are unfortunately still on a search to find someone. The Purple Cow, which has come in years past, is not able to make it all the way to Oregon. The fairgrounds may also have their concession stand open throughout the day, however, this is not finalized yet. We will update when we have a solid answer. Show is exactly a month away today! Tex West Coast Subaru Show Committee
  19. ** UPDATE ** We've added a schedule to the website, along with some other info. Check it out! http://www.westcoastsubarushow.com Tex West Coast Subaru Show Committee
  20. We have decided to extend the merchandise pre-sale for just a couple more days. We are going to extend it to Friday the 18th, which is the latest that we can possibly place our order and have it by the time of the show. Do note that we order our glasses based on the number of pre-sales that we get, thus there will not be more than just a few available at the time of the show. If you are interested in having a glass, custom etched or not, it is important to get your pre-order in to ensure that there will be one available for you. I look forward to seeing you all there! Thank you for all your support, Dan West Coast Subaru Show Committee
  21. Raffle Prize Give away We are proud to announce that Kito Auto Sports is now on board as a sponsor of the show. They will be donating an Equal Length Header with Up-pipe for an 04 + STI to be raffled off near the end of the show in Saturday. I look forward to seeing you all there, and good luck to all who enter the raffle. Dan West Coast Subaru Show Committee
