  1. Iv'e been looking at just regular MT's (Firestone, BFG, ect.) I know what I can get Swampers for. And I may end up getting a set, but I was hoping to start out with somthing cheeper for now. I may look at some AT's and then just cut 'em the way I want (I'm getting a new grooving gun) for the money that might be the way to go for now.

  2. OK, I need some mud tires for my new wagon. I'm looking @ 27X8.50X14or15 or 215-75LT15 or 225-75LT14 and I'm getting STICKER SHOCK:eek: I have not bought new tires in this size for 2 or 3 years and when I did they wer like $45ea!

Any one got a good place to get 'em?

  3. Have not had the plesure yet, but I know what's up with that! And like I said, U guys have done alot more in a Sube than I have yet. So I do bow to your'e exp. on that one;) I don't know if U have any idea who/what "Trail Tuff Suzuki Stuff" is, but I have been wheelin' with the owner & workers there from the get go (10 years ago) and they have respect for the Roos. (and these guys are in all the mags, and run all the top trails)

  4. I get ALOT of Q's on this so I thought I would post up about it.

Bumpers start @ $125 + S&H, this is for a single tube with mounts. There are lots of options to be had, as they are custom made to YOUR'E needs, but that is the base price.

Roof racks start @ $140+ S&H, there is a lot of time and work that goes into one of these, and the fit is very importand. And again that is for the base rack, options will run U more.

Rock sliders, skidplates, ect. are priced on a "per order" basis.

I am not curently offering any lift kits, and when I do it will be a suspention system, with new triling/ controll arms and struts, and as such it will be more than any of the curent offerings. (I don't figure there will be much of a market for this, but when I have the bugs worked out I will offer it in kit fourm)

  5. Hi all! I'm looking for some info on the U-joint rear axle.

    1) is the outboard end all 1 pice? (ie: splined stub that the yoke slides onto, or no)

    2) is the inboard end of the shaft a male or femail? (ie: are there stubs on the diff., or do the axles slide INTO the diff.)

    3) how much can the shaft expand and colapse 1" 2" ect.?

Thanks in advance for the help:)

  6. A-men! I do relise that every one is just trying to be realistic, and I respect that. But damn! U guys need a little more respect for the Subarus off road performance. Every thing has +'s and -'s off road, but the Subaru platform has an afull lot of +'s going for it.

    Just my $.02

  7. I have to say, a stock Jeep is NO STRONGER than a stock Subaru.

I have seen WAY MORE busted Jeep parts than Subaru on the trail (I'm talking stock to stock here) Now an erly (pre '86) Toyota truck, hard to beat for durability. But I will stick with the Subaru for the WOW factor when going over the big stuff:)
