BRAT Meet 2011 - Leavenworth
If I do diside to go it would be tomorrow that I figure it out, would leave about 7-7:30 and would come back in the afternoon. I know it's a lot of driving but have to take care of the horses since everyone else skipped town...

EJ 5 lug on an EA
Cutting and welding doesn't stop me at all. There is a lot of people on here that can't/don't have access to torces or a welder. I am pretty much looking for bolt of 5 lug swap stuff with the axles that would work with it. I did find a company that can make 4 to 5 lug adaptors, but with that you don't get the bigger brakes.

EJ 5 lug on an EA
That would be my last resort, I would like to have everything in one forum so everyone could search and find it. I have seen plenty of other ideas... you could search for days to get the same info.

EJ 5 lug on an EA
If using the EJ knucles, can I take the center section out of the EA81 axle and put in the cups of the EJ axles to shorten the over length of the axle?

EJ 5 lug on an EA
I have searched for this with no luck on finding anything. It is not getting harder and harder to find the XT6 5 lug stuff... With that being said, is it possible to EJ 5 lug on an EA? If possible who has done is and how hard is it?

I looks like its a 6" lift with about 30" tires... It looks like the wheels are aluminum (if so, more than likely it has a 6 lug conv. not smart to drill alum. wheels). Looks like its an 83 from the chromw rear bumper and the trim down the side. But it is nice and pretty big if I do say so myself.

Should i buy this?
Either one is a great start... I didnt the same thing that was mentioned above... Parted out my legacy to fund my swap... If those wheels on the legacy are wrx wheels... well I might be interested in them if you buy the car.

Brat motor swap questions.
I also have the info on here about the 5 speed swap wiring. And I also just hooked up my hh to my 5 speed trans and only had to use the round dowel pin from the ea82 trans due to it's longer. Works fine without moving anything.

Brat motor swap questions.
Trans tunnel wont have to be beat out if the 4 inch lift is done at the same time. Would only have to worry about the trans crossmember and then welding in the brackets for the carrier bearing for the driveline. As for tires. I have a 4 inch on my brat with 15 inch wheels and 215/75r15 tires. Slight rubbing but nothing major. note* my wheels have more offset then most other 15 inch wheeled subarus.

Last year there was a few members that were there in other versions of subaru's... I remember there being a outback sport that was swapped for a brat last year

uh-oh, what did I do?
It won't hurt anything, just be careful to watch out if the cv axle tears the boot. Then you can have an axle flopping everywhere. That would cause some damage.

Flat tow w/tow bar '84 Hatch
All you should need would be a trip permit for the car. Your insurance "usually" is transfered to the "towed attachment". Call your insuance company and ask to be sure. I know when I have something hooked to my truck if it has its own insurance of not, it is covered by my truck insurance. But every insurance company AND policy is differant.

uh-oh, what did I do?
That is a very easy fix. Axles are pretty cheap and easy to do. I am glad to see you found out what happened.
