  1. Yes like those you posted. But I am going to use the tmic, I think its a cleaner install. As for all the ones you posted, they don't have the wrx suspension. They are using the xt6 5 lug swap. Which leads me to another question... Has anyone put the xt6 air suspension under an EA81? If it does... does a xt6 trans bolt up to a EJ20T?
  2. Caddy style, being the tail lights will be sunk in the rear... or hot rod style. Look something like this...
  3. Picked up a brat body the other day... Plans: WXR motor and manual trans Front and rear WRX suspension Shaved front and rear bumpers Caddy style tail lights WRX seats Custom dash and center consol Custom stereo
  4. I called my insurance company a while ago and asked them about full coverage. Needless to say, my brat is fully covered with the value set at 7K. That is the number I gave them and they honored it without any proof of investment or pictures. Just letting everyone know what they might be able to do. Andy
  5. They is what all my friends called the brat in high school. So it has always stuck with it. Figured I would keep it interesting and the tradition rolling...
  6. Agreed, It's only about 6 bolts if I do remember. But thet do look really bad, there is a ton of holes and they are fairly large ones at that. In my opinion, you are better off making a slim sleak type of bumper or leaving the stock one on it. Thanks for the compliment also
  7. If you find that the drains are ok you can, mix up and soapy water solution and put it in a spray bottle. Start your car and turn the vent on high with all the doors and windows closed. Let the cabin charge with air, spray all the way around your windshield. If it is leaking it will make soap bubbles around the air leak.
  8. Im not to far from you at all. Im off 260th and the Mountain Highway.
  9. Bob, you live in Roy? I have never seen that brat around here!
  10. Yeah pretty much, Chevy, toyota and nissan 6 lugs are pretty much the standard for the 6-lug/redrill swap.
  11. Oh yeah Jerry, If I know I have to move out really fast I have to remember to put it in 4wheel drive. If not the smoke off the tires moved faster than I do!

Agreed, I had to plug the EGR on mine, not a big deal at all. My EJ18 hit the power band at 3200 rpm and it pulled nicely. I am thinking about pulling that motor in my hatch such as Jerry did. As for the wiring, stay with the EJ22 intake and harness. That way if you want to do the 2.2 upgrade, everything is there. Such as I did.

I just pulled my EJ18 out of my brat last weekend. It had plenty of power to move it on 28" tires. I also had an EJ22 intake manifold on it. So to answer your orignal question. Yes it will work.
  14. Here is mine, haven't found a set that I like enough to put on the front or the back of the basket.
  15. Put this in the retrofit section, you will get alot more response.
  16. You guys just might be right on that. They hp gain may be illrelevent, but the tourqe factor has greatly increased!. But either way, I still want to get it dyno'd just to know. And GD, the p.a.p. didn't really matter. I had the motor sitting in the shop and I completely resealed it. So it was all apart and I figured, why not. It was a great experience and I am happy with the outcome. It is a fast super tourqy daily driver! Has a huge fun factor!
  17. I was thinking a little more than that, being that "usually" intake adds 10%, exhaust adds 10% and so on.
  18. So I just put my mildly built EJ22 in the brat tonight. I was wonderin if anyone would have guess about the hp it may be putting out. 93 EJ22 delta tourqe grind everything is gasket matched intake and exhuast ported cold air intake no cat magnaflow exhaust I had a EJ18 in it before the swap, now I cant even keep my 28" tires on the ground in first gear. Either they are smokin and hopping off the ground. Any guesses? I am hopeing for about 150ish hp out of it. Going to get it dyno's soon to be sure.
  19. Rob, your valve breathers and battery ground aren't hooked up!
  20. Wouldn't you still have to drill all the holes for the lines and little block on the passenger side?
  21. I agree with RedRat, bring on the snowy days. Weekend or now, there is plenty of ditches and grassy medians for me to dive in on the way to work!
  22. Good to know GD. I will have to find the rest of those pieces to complete my kit.
