  1. was wondering if anyone else has had issues after installing a lift, I've noticed a vibration/shudder on acceleration that seems to smooth out when I ease off on the throttle. I did blocks with the 15 degree angle but did not drop the crossmember up front, i'm wondering if thats my next move. thanks (94loyale by the way)

  2. I just read this post and it looks like a cool, low buck idea! on the blocks with the 15 degree offset are you moving the top of the strut towards the outside of the fender or towards the engine to keep the camber in check? please pardon my newbiness, I'm just trying to picture it in my head. Thanks!

  3. still fighting this one, I went through all the hoses and sprayed wd40 around the intake, couldn't find any vacuum leaks. When the idle is surging if i disconnect the rubber hose from the iac the idle smooths out, also stays smooth if I cover the iac hose inlet(can feel vacuum on my thumb) the second I reconnect the hose the surging starts and continues. anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? thanks!

  4. i've read several past posts using search but I still am wondering about the sequence of operation of the IAC. I have idle surging 1000 to 1200 after the car warms up (94 loyale spfi) I have checked my IAC using the fsm and it checks ok, I have cleaned it and also tried a junkyard control with the same outcome. my question is, after the first minute does the valve stay open all the time? when the idle is surging I can cover the inlet to the IAC with my thumb and the idle smooths out and is normal. I am getting a code for IAC and O2 sensor (O2 sensor has less than 2000 miles on it) I don't mind buying a new one I just want to make sure that i'm not missing anything . Thanks for helping !!!

  5. thanks for the replies! just for clarification this is a loyale 4wd with a 3at. I've discovered trans fluid in the front differential and I assume its a failed seal that i've read about on the forum elsewhere. seems like the manual swap is definetely the way to go versus repair of the automatic. thanks.

  6. Hi, new to the board and there seems to be a wealth of info here so I thought i would see if anyone has had this problem. I've had the car for about a month now. the second day I had it the engine would not turn over, I tried several times with no response from the starter. by the time I grabbed my meter to check voltage at the solenoid and a helper to turn the key, the car started and worked great for three weeks without fail. it failed again yesterday, I checked and found I was only getting 7.5 volts at the solenoid. any suggestions on where to start looking? is this a common problem? I don't know if it makes a difference but it did fail after about a thirty minute drive with the ac on, so it was definetely warm..... thanks, Steve
