im not sure but, it looks like it isn't coming from the rocker cover gasket to me?
I don't really know what im talking about but the photos should help.
...i think it is the head gasket? am I right?

This is on the passengers side with the dipstick.(right hand side looking from engine bay back) I am from New Zealand. Its leaking around the exhaust.
Someone from another forum told me rocker cover gasket.??
I will try get better photos

why is oil leaking from here? Is it a cracked head or rocker cover gasket? What is involved with fixing it? Its an EJ18 impreza.

Hi,
I need to know pull out my fuel pump fuse while the engine is running. So then I can change my fuel filter.
Thanks
-
Is it a silver metal wire that is plugged into the exhaust..
Yes my car is stock. Just a 3inch tip muffler.
-
yes cam belt = timing belt. hmmm...exhaust stuff going on?
plug wires, PCV, air filter, and fuel treatment. i'd start there, they need done anyway, are easy and cost very little.
Yes it sounds like it is misfiring or something. The exhaust makes bump bump sounds, but out of tune I reckon.
What is the PCV sorry? Is it a little metal pipe with a small plastic screw valve?

Hi,
I am trying to locate the fuse for my fog lights on my 1994 Impreza.
The fuse box is in Japanese so I can't read it.
Will it be in the cabin or engine bay fuse box?
Cheers

I just got told that I should change the sensor now because I have done 185K
Where is this located and what does it look like?
-
Thanks for the help. Ill try and find some of those tools.
Cheers

It just feels like the car has lost acceleration and power.
It sounds like the car is idling out of tune? and the exhaust coughs and splutters a little bit.
-->>about the vacuum hose part. Is it a little metal pipe with a brown or black plastic screw valve?
The cambelt was done a 160000kms.
Is the timing belt the same thing?

My Non turbo EJ18 1994 Subaru Impreza is not running as well as it used to be.
I changed the spark plugs, oil and oil filter at 180K.
What else can I do?
-
I am trying to remove the casing on the fog light but the two screws are in awkward position on the side etc.
What is the easiest way to get it off?
-
I changed my spark plugs 3000kms ago. I didn't use torque wrench etc just tightened until they all felt tight enough, is this ok?
What do the clearance on spark plugs mean and how does it affect performance?
thanks

Why do I have more power when on empty in my Subaru Impreza?
in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX

Every time my 1994 EJ18 Impreza is on empty and just about to run out. I seem to get quite a bit of power that I don't see normally even when I have under a 1/4 of a tank.
So that means that it can't be a weight issue.
Could this mean a bad fuel pump or something?
