  1. Well the timing belt is what makes this waterpump go. I'm more mad on how difficult it will be to just replace a simple thing. I swear my Delorean is easier to work on some days than this thing. I got some guys on the SVX forums that gave me all the oem part numbers that I need to replace since I have it all taken apart. Thanks again! Darrell
  2. So she died, in my driveway at least. Warming her up for college, and just coolant everywhere! I have the shop manuals for her, but its going to be a real PITA. Just curious if anyone did one on a SVX. I have to remove the WHOLE front end to replace the waterpump. I also have to replace the timing belt(better if i have to take it off). Just curious I'm driving the brat till hopefully I get it fixed by the end of the summer. Thanks in advance! Darrell
  3. I am willing to ship them. That sounds like a fair offer to me. I just have to box them up, and need a address or zip code to get a shipping quote. Do you like fed ex, ups, usps or speede, if you a nearby state?

  4. Bump! Mid muffler(resonator) is 56-57inches long. Do you think buying a OEM one from advance will make up my 5-6 inches gap. It is Bosal, it measures 60inches
  5. I'm stuck here guys, hoping someone can help me. I replaced my Cat by the manifold. The other rusty one that was on there was welded 5 inches longer. My OEM one bolts right up no problem after fixing the stud issues. Now my Resonator and muffler are 5 inches short?! I measured and remeasured every part store has the SAME products. How am I 5inches short on direct bolt on replacements? I am going insane over stupid exhaust problems. Measurements Manifold cat 45 1/2 inches, Resonator close to 60 Please someone has to come across this problem before. Thanks in advance, Darrell
  6. svx headlight swap!? I have an extra pair, but I have the 4 headlights on my brat. I REALLY would like to see what it looks like with svx headlights, did you put on the corner lights also? Darrell
  7. Thanks for the advice guys! After lots of phone calls and price checking, I got a magnaflow one off ebay for $158 free shipping. I hope I can heli-coil the passenger side right, so it wont fall off this time. And I finally got my first cheap welder. Flex wire, but I'm broke untill someone hires me. Darrell
  8. Just need to know a good replacement store to purchase from. There is NO saving this one. The passenger side of the Y pipe rotted off, then it hit the ground, big hole in the cat that i fixed, and hanger broke right off the weld. I think its time to recycle the cat, and just buy a new one. Any input would be nice! Darrell
  9. Yep! Had to weld a 2piece 1/4-1/2inch think steel(rotted off 2 winters ago), everything else is there hanges and such. The bolts on the passenger side one day fell out, and it cracked at the Y pipe. I welded the Y pipe back together. The driver side bolts are SIEZED, and my weld is the only thing holding the damn exhaust together, besides the hangers and such. Just heli-coil the passenger side bolt holes and put some new exhaust studs should work then? Darrell
  10. what is a heli-coil? I have the same problem on my 84 brat. Something I can get at the parts store or is it a custom order? Thanks, Darrell
  11. my 1984 Brat 242xxx, my 92 SVX prob 200xxx(unknown really)
  12. i have no idea what its worth or if its orginal option with the snaps.

  13. thats the page im using. aftermarket switch, same exact one. ill try to disconnect it tommorrow(the arm). otherwise i dont know, the green wire(door close) works when hot wired, but just wont close with it all hooked up. darrell
  14. yep, thats the relay im using. can hot wire it to open/close nonstop. i click the switch and it opens and light comes on. i click it off, light goes off but the door wont close. still stuck on this problem darrell
  15. Ok I found your wiring diagram, its all set up like you explained. I can get the door to open, but when i click the stock switch to turn off, the light turns off and the door wont close. I used the relay that you suggested, and just no dice. I tried seaching, but it wont let me use any 3 letter words. Im just dumbfounded. I can get teh door to open/close(looping) with just straight power. Please help me! Darrell
  16. ditto, my only one I got is from McBrat, when i got my SVX window decals, Which I LOVE! Darrell
  17. they came with my brat, so rusty i didnt know they were chrome till lots and lots of cleaning. There outlaw 2 rims 13inch with those tires on her. still looking for center caps darrell
  18. Well Long story short, that pinch bolt snapped, finnally got the unit out, got other side out with NO problems. Now just waiting for my ball joints, struts, and roll pin to come. UGH, my Brat just to have "FUN" Darrell P.S. This must have been 26yrs of rust OEM stuff that has NEVER moved on this truck.
  19. Thanks so much from everyone! I will get a pickle fork tommorow. I found Nug's nice picture guide(YAY!) so hopefully ill get it out. One question, theres a bolt that is right above that ball joint. Seems like 14mm but even after 3 days of PBing the crap out of it, nothing, i think it semi-holds the ball joint in there so i cant really separate it(I could be wrong) but his pictures show the nut out of it. Well anyhow ill get the new axle in tommorrow at least. Darrell
  20. Its the ball joint really, I have the nut off, and cant get the two to move off, so I can swing the assembly so I can remove the axle. But like stated above, I was just trying to get the wrong one out(well i need to replace the ball joint anyways) Once I get the Long bolt from the lower A arm(I think its called) it should drop and I can swing it(Sorta the same thing i had to do with my 97 sebring, but much much easier with the bolts not rusted tight.
