  1. I've learned to replace the O2 sensor every four years, no matter what. My 91 LegoLS gets 21 mpg in city driving with an automatic and AWD with 217K miles.
  2. I've discovered that one of the fastest ways to instantly improve MPG is to replace O2 sensors every four years, no matter what. Yes; it's expensive for the part and for some vehicles with two, or more, it can get pricey. But on my '91 Lego with 216K, I still get 21 mpg in city driving with an auto and AWD. I just recently replaced my O2 about a month ago and I went from 19 to 21 in one tank, and didn't change my driving style on mid-grade fuel. Spark plugs are replaced every year on the first day of spring so I don't forget.
  3. This is an unusual problem; the brake lights work but the high mount doesn't. Looked in the owners manual and looked for possible blown fuse, no luck. Brand new bulbs installed in the high mount lens and still nothing. Any ideas?
  4. Maybe this will help but I have a 91 Lego LS and I have 20560R15 that fit perfectly without any rubbing. I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this same size tire on a 1st Gen.
  5. I have the rarely seen digital climate control on a 91 LS wagon and half of the bulbs work. Because this unit works perfectly, I'd rather not make it mad because I decided to remove it just to replace some bulbs. But... can this be done easily (or relatively easily)? The digital LED display that shows what the temperature is set at works fine, I just want to change the little bulbs.
  6. http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/24/guinness-attempt-biggest-ever-subaru-gathering-planned-for-illi/ Sounds like a major road trip opportunity. They want to set a Guinness Record for the largest amount of Subarus in a parade.
  7. I would prefer to have an engine that the car came with, especially if it's more powerful than what's in it right now, with it being a GT and all.
  8. Thanks for the information; I ended up disconnecting the battery and after about 1 hour, the CEL went away, and now the radiator cooling fans aren't running continuously and the engine stopped running rich.
  9. Just replaced leaking upper radiator hose, added pre-mixed coolant and the air has been purged from the coolant system, during purging process, CEL appeared. How do I retrieve the code and clear the ECU? Searches of this database couldn't find ecu code instructions. New user just wants the CEL to go away.
