  1. I removed the large ring nut on the rear. A hammer and punch was just the ticket. Be sure to bend the tabs out first. then with an oak 4x4 and a sledge I drove it out the rear. I had to use the sindle to drive the outer race out though.
  2. so far no soobs of close years in anny yard I have found. They crush anything older that 6 years or so. I have looked in about 30 yards so far. I have found no one on here willing to part with one either. I seem to be SOL Thanks for the sugestion though
  3. Tornado air cleaner thingee will at the verry least cost you a couple of MPG and at worst fragment getting sucked into and destroying your engine. Any restriction in the intake will lower milage thats why the K&N filters improve it Less restriction. Save your money its pure "Snake oil"
  4. hope it didn't toast the spindle threads. I have been looking for a new spindle for a couple of months now and can't find anything but new from dealer and they want $290.00! so good luck and if anyone has a spindle for a 88 gl wagon 4wd please let me know... Earl
  5. Its Photo Real camo and yes I like it. here it is on a camaro. check out Camoclad.com
  6. My 88 GL wagon has 245,000 and still running strong.
  7. I believe that spfi is sequential port fuel injection. Or am I mistaken?
  8. I just did the rear bearings on my 88gl 4wd wagon it wasn't a sealed bearing. It was a simple matter of bending the keeper away from the ring nut and using a hammer and chisle to run it out and then using an oak 4x4 and a sledge hammer to drive the spindle out ( from the outside in) it wont go the other way. I used the old race to drive the new one in and the old inner race to drive the inner races onto the spindle then I had to use the same hammer and chisle to run the ring nut back in. It took about an hour to do it and it was my first time.
  9. FYI Hydrogen peroxide will get blood out of anything! even if its been there for a long time. Good Dog!
  10. I also need to replace my rear wheel bearings on my 88 GL. Please
  11. 88 gl Wagon power window front pass side window motor is dead 12 volt directly to it and nothing. Can I use one from the rear doors? Does any one have an extra one laying around? How much for one? Anyone any help at all? Thanks
  12. What clutch should I get and where should I get it? I have a 88 gl 5sp D/R and would like to get the best one I can get. Can I use the one for the H6 or does some one offer a Heavy Duty clutch kit? Earl
