What if he became like.... the governor of Maine?
their electrical system would cause too many issues. not a possibility at all.
<edit>
clean the grounds! I'm sure that's the problem
-
Cool beans, dude! They didn't get too many pics of your Subie, but they really seemed to love that little yellow X19.
yeah!!
that guy got a couple of reruns because he didn't trip the timer a couple of times, iirc
also he had some badass hoosier slicks on all 4 corners and what sounded like an open exhaust
he was leaking coolant at one point though
-
well I went and it was cool
here are some pics: http://www.photostockplus.com/home.php?tmpl=35&user_id=24379&action=viewalbum&event=116665
I will try to get video up soon
official times aren't up yet but I ran in the "novice" class anyway as it was my first autox
the XT6 seemed to do VERY well, with the exception of no power steering at the time
-
going to try and hit up an autox on sunday in vermont http://www.sugarbush.com/funandevents/event.asp?id=395
but first I need to swap my driveshaft, fix my coolant temp sensor, change the oil, and rebuild or replace the alternator...

what the hell are you doing with an airplane?
that isn't something you can just throw into a thread and not elaborate on or give pics
-
I tried 750kg of gravle in my Brat (2" body lift, air pump up shocks, 27" MT's) and I couldn't get it to move because the tires were rubbing horribly.
Stock tires would of fixed that problem..
tires on the yota are ~29" all terrains. I drove it out of the pit down a trail to the road, up a hill to the driveway. the driveway is pretty gnarly and my xt6 won't make it up it because there are some pretty uneven spots and larger rocks sticking up
-
is it stick or auto?
my girlfriend could drive it on the way back but she can't drive a stick
no way to do it otherwise as my xt6 is stick too and she can't drive that, and I'm not driving a truck to the dragon
edit: or you can squeeze your rump roast in the back seat of the xt6 and ride down with me
-
crap, can't edit, but I smashed up one of those ugly chrome lights when I was loading the truck up with dad's tractor
oops
-
monday and tuesday I moved four loads of dirt to fill in where my driveway is going to be...
the yota loved it!
wouldn't be able to do this in a subaru without chopping the top off a wagon and doubling up the rear struts

hell yes
the weekend of june 1st we went to our camp for my brother's bachelor party. it's 20 miles back on a private dirt road.
The night before we went my girlfriend and I stayed in a tent on some of her mom's land in the foothills of the adirondacks
the rest of the pics and some movies are here http://nnyoffroad.com/~dertow/outside/6-1-2007/100NIKON/
while we were at camp we loaded the back of the toyota up with rocks and built a fire pit back at camp.
unfortunately we were a little and I forgot to take pics of it sagging.
yesterday I split up a cord of wood and moved it across the property with the toyota.
THANK YOU PICKUP TRUCK
the legacy would've sucked for this stuff
-
and i'll be running propane, at $1.69 to $1.99 a gallon... and it's a lot easier to come by.
situation dictates action

DING, DING, DING, DING!!!!!!! We have a winner Jay, what has he won?!?!??
I can't afford that right now, but thumbs up to those that can.
mine will be a diesel running backwoods biodiesel a buddy makes and will sell me for $1.40/gallon
-
Did I mention the little soldier logged some 300 miles running back and forth between my old house and my new one as I moved? 11 loads. I love my Toyota. A hatchback would have been useless.
A trailer queen woulda been pretty useless too. A Bobbed bed woulda been next to useless.
yep that's why when I put the flatbed on it will be a FUNCTIONAL flatbed
this truck made the 600 mile round trip to go pick up the solid axle for the front, and a bunch of parts for my friend's truck. plus I can haul my 4wheeler in it

Funny you should say that about pumping gas. Several years back, I drove to NY and was rather surprised to find only self-serve stations. I admit I was a little panicked by it, but the friend I was visiting knew how. Then it happened again while driving to VA, I tried to do it myself, but it was a really weird one... luckily, a nice elderly man did it for me.
While I did some gas-pumping back in my high school years, the pumps are different now. I never give it any thought, both stations I use around town are full-serve and cheaper than the self-serve.
Oh yeah, this morning, homefries, ham, bacon, kielbasa, scrambled eggs, toast and coffee came in between primer and paint (on our buddy's truck). Then, some guys showed up to help, so I polished chrome trim for 4 hours and then steak, rice and green beans for the crew.
WOAH!!
can I come use your garage?

Yotatech is a cool place, but it reminds me alittle like Nasioc in their layout. THey have forums for EVERYTHING, and it seems no one posts much in any forum.
ALthough the guys at yotatech are far nicer than Pirate.
-Brian
yep I'd have to agree.
there are a lot of forums here now too you know
-
This is a pretty cool site for Toyotas, there's other rigs there too: http://nw-wheelers.com/forum/index.php
Say Zap for a reference.
great another forum to post on
currently on xt6.net legacycentral usmb nasioc hsm metalillness metalmeet pirate4x4 yotatech and some others hahaha

So almost 10 of us plus phiz' brother. (who probably has the one I'd most like to have out of all of the ones shown. . .) But then again, that diesel smell makes me crazy. At first glance, I wondered why the snorkel was on the wrong side. lol
Seeing others makes it that much easier to own mine.
So is it time to start up a USMB convert club or what? lol I'm diggin' the fact so many of you went with Toys. I'm sure there's other makes that former Soob off roaders have switched to, but I'm not interested in those so much.
I'm down for talking to USMB people about toyotas
pirate4x4 is alright, but I prefer the vibes at yotatech. it's more like here
started tearing down the front axle last night when I got done with work. gonna bring the housing over to my brothers for sandblasting
-
give him $250 and call it a well spent day
-
oh and the lame roll bar is coming off as soon as I can find someone to give me $35 for it haha
-
yep.
I just picked up a solid front axle on thursday for a cool $100
-
my xt6 sucked in RWD. couldn't make it up a wet grassy hill, and I had a locking center diff.
burnouts were fun but who's got enough money for that many tires.
drifting is ok too but I prefer to go fast through the twisties
-
oh man you're gonna like the er27 so much more than the ea82
-
2 words
WOOD CHIPPER
on that note, why not a wood splitter? hook up a hydraulic pump (maybe powersteering pump would work?) and a ram, put it on a trailer and you're in business
xt6 driveshaft/ujoint replacement?
in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...

these dudes know what's up.
I'm running a "gary's special" rear driveshaft in my xt6 right now
