  1. 85 GL over heating

    Hello all, I own an 85 GL Wagon HiLo (Vin 5) with 120,000 miles on the speedometer. I am having an issue with the vehicle overheating. I installed a new water pump when I changed the tbelts. The car did not have a thermostat so I installed one of those, correctly according to the Subaru service manual. I also installed new intake manifold gaskets, sanding and scraping the heads and manifold clean, to keep the oil and coolant separate. I cannot figure out why the system is not working properly.

    Hello, The black device is called the air control vaccum valve. The loose end you are referring to connects to one of the ports on the air filter housing. Neppen
