  1. so what a lil storm we got in the columbia gorge. Mt. Hood got good snow too of course. we got 6-8 inches in White Salmon. fun driving of course. this is my first snow day with my subie, and i am extremely impressed. i knew they got around good, but there were 3/4 ton chevys, dodges and fords stuck everywhere! ( i gave my neighbor a ride up his 2 mile drive way because his 2008 F-150 wasnt hookin up even in 4-low. id say im hooked...i'd like some more power i think though... someone say ej22?!?! anyone else get some snow? i know there might be a better spot to post this, but i was stoked to drive in the snow!!!
  2. ya it definately sounds like that guy doesnt want to do it, or he's just shady... thats twice what alot of mechanics would quote for a subie hg.
  3. so i want to swap my 83 gl wagon. im sick of the tired old carbed p.o.s. motor. i wanna do a ej22. would like a turbo version, but im not against a N/A version. i could use my orginal 4 speed with a sjr adapter plate right? any suggestions on which ej's to use for my project? pros cons vs. turbo n/a swaps? i did a search, but wanted to be more specific... thanks
  4. whats up man, im from the gorge, just joined too. its cool there is such a large NW subaru following.
  5. whats up guys, my names Vince, im from Hood River/White Salmon area of oregon and washington. (the columbia gorge). Ive finally got an old subie to mob! i bought a 83' GL wagon. has a 4-speed tranny and dual range 4wd. pretty fun little car. runs good. heater and stuff works, dash lights, running lights, etc... just a few little things i need to work out. i hoping this forum can send me in the right direction. anyways, i work a ski resort called Mt Hood meadows as a lift operator, i get to snowboard everyday, its an awesome job. i need a solid mountain mobber to get me there everyday. the purpose of this project is a rally inspired, trail/snow/ice capable. it gets really crazy on the HW35 to mt hood, cars wreck everyday... so anyways be prepared for all my random questions, hahaha.
