  1. Any such thing anymore as quality wires, cap, rotor, etc? Suggested brand?
  2. I just had this happen last night on the front marker light. The ground on the light socket itself, had come loose. I wanst getting a ground and I couldnt get continuity anywhere. I pulled it apart and melted some of the plastic and re-soldered the wire to the light socket again. Done....
  3. Well now I am curious......
  4. I've had ground wire issues. You can pull an inside panel off in the bed to find them too.
  5. Do thermostat first, then radiator. Thats been my story on all mine at least. Usually its the radiator.
  6. Well, are you gunna share and tell ME where I can get some?
  7. MT. There are loads of Soobs here, its the state car. No Pick N Pulls though. Now that you mention it, I think there is a lady in town that has a car I can have for parts. I will have to check it out. I spent all day yesterday trying to have a heart attack so that tied me up at the hospital all day and I kinda dropped the ball for a day. :/
  8. Wow, someone actually address the issue. The lenses are faded, yellow, whatever you want to call it. The reflectors inside are peeling too. They are junk. The bulbs are Sylvanias, which are fine. Just no way for the light to make it to the road. I took some off before and baked them in the oven. It kinda worked but the reflectors in the buckets were bad too.
  9. I have had my $500 car for a long time. I just wont put $300 worth of lights on it, let alone them hanging on the front end waiting for deer, elk, bear, moose and so on, to smuck them. And what do you have with the 6000K HIDs in for housings?
  10. If I get a light, with a lens that is actually clear and has a reflector in it, I have my battles won. Remember too, its a $500 car. How about a headlamp with a post...kinda like a plow light without the turn signals.
  11. The stock headlights are 100% useless to me in this country. I wanted round because there are only 2. I really dont want 4. Gee...I thought sticking 2 round lamps would be something simple. I cant believe no one has done this.
  12. Sorry, grammar error. What I have is glass, of course. The first post showed plastic housings. I want simple, round, glass headlights that can be replaced cheaply when they get foggy, full of water, etc.
  13. I want to get rid of the whole assembly, not just the bulbs. I have great bulbs, its the assembly that sucks. I want glass, not plastic.
  14. Glad I am not in your Country.
  15. I talked about this a year or so ago. Time to readdress it a little differently. Time to ditch the GL headlights. How about yanking everything out and sticking a round bucket and lamp in there. Who has done it before? Need something legal though.
  16. I dont have it here to look at but can I replace the heater hoses from the heater core with generic straight hose? Much easier and less costly for me to do.
  17. Wow did that come out easy!
  18. Sounds like air to me. Did you start at the furthest corner and move closer to the front?
  19. Yes, I just dont want to pull the pulley off. Wasnt sure if the pump would come out with the pulley still on. Bonus, thanks,
  20. Can I pull it and reseal it without pulling the pulley off the front of the crank?
  21. Bingo...thanks!
  22. Anyone have suggestions on where to get one online? I have checked a few places but cant seem to find an 8 7/8". [ugh] I found one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LuK-15-003-New-Clutch-Set-/270813480063?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f0dbdc47f#ht_500wt_1068
  23. How about something like a 50W dino oil? What else, aside from heavy gear oil, non-synthetic will work. It gets so cold here its terribly hard to even star a vehicle with that weight oil in it. Sure, you can sit there with your foot on the clutch for 15 mins........
  24. I have used ATF in mine for many years. Regular gear lube is tough in these parts come winter.
  25. Anything I need to know before I order one? Different sizes, etc.
