  1. Oh I have the after, its sitting out in the driveway right now :P

Just a little rustier than when I finished, nothing a little steel wool won't take care of

    though.

I'll add the pix to my albums here on the USMB.

As soon as I take them and find them that is

  2. Hey it may have been rigged but at least it got the job done =D , hey if you want send em to me in an email..both before and after...if you don't have the after that is fine.

  3. Yeah, I did a fair amount of bashing.

I've got pictures of the before, but they're all in snow :-\

I built a redneck slide hammer.

It consisted of a long bolt, a couple washers and a 2x4 with a hole drilled in it.

I'll post up pictures as soon as I find my memory card and borrow my dad's camera.

  4. Wow...I would have never thought of that, though something similar has crossed my mind. At the moment my '88 GL10 has no cupholders either, I looked around the wagon and I was like wth!. I like some of the ideas in here, and I have used the space between the parking break and the passenger seat as a cupholder it works pretty good
  5. Well hell it can't be too bad if you had the chance to do something to the body, what did you do to it? Have any pics at all?

  6. Exactly.

I had just worked a 12 hour shift at Circuit City and was on my way home.

Stop to make a left, and WHAM!!!

    Yeah, I was pissed.

But it just gave me more incentive to find a better body.

  7. Wow, that does suck what a perfect day to get into an accident right?

  8. Yeah, my baby got hit last winter on black friday (what a day to get hit, huh)

I was stopping to make a left turn and a guy in his "big bad" dodge slid into me.

Trashed his plastic bumper and mangled my driver's side tail and the tailgate.

It took a lot of beating to get the tailgate to open again.

  9. Yeah, my dad is really good with soobs I've had a lot of fun workin on em with him...Yeah I remember you Miles...you have some questions to answer because I am going to paint my wagon as you already know and you better tell me:lol:
  10. Had to swap the engine out of my '88 GL10 and put a better running engine in, last one had pressure issues 2 of the spark plug sockets put out 110 psi and the others barely had 40 psi. Had to change power steering pump, and a few other odds and ends (newish front tires included ). Took the car through the car wash which did it a lot of good... been sitting for more than 6 years...it is now running and back from the dead
  11. Hey dad, found a pretty good thread on spray can paint jobs thought you would like to read this plus it has some really nice looking XT's!

  12. I really need to finish the paint job on my '88 GL10 this up coming summer or when the weather decides to improve a bit...Been looking around at different threads dealing with different paint jobs...Haven't really found any clear answer to my question...which paint brand is best suggested...need something that will last for a few years and looks good...Driver side fender is from another vehicle a sedan...have same passenger side fender in garage (need to get that one put on)...Both are in okay condition a little beat up..just need some fixin up and that is about it...Car looks a bit dirty it was...until I took it to car wash now its shiny like So I really need some advice on the paint brand and some good steps on how to make it really nice, also to insure that it will last longer and look nice for a few years...
  13. I really don't know how to describe the issue clearly so bare with me...The wagon has been drivable for about two days now...when I am trying to take off from idling it doesn't want to quite go, depending on its mood however...it will start out fine but then it will hiccup and the engine will stop almost like it is trying to stall...I pump the gas a few times and it quits and runs normally sometimes it will start to do it again...I have no idea what it could be...just looking for some information (not a mech btw just wanting to learn)..Dad thinks it might be something to do with the ignition system, cannot remember word for word at the moment...However once it gets to a certain point (35mph and above) it doesn't do it as often hardly at all...really stuck on what it might be. I can get from point A to point B without any other issue...just would like to know what is going on...
  14. Thanks for having me! Still living with the rents spent the last few months working with my dad aka TomRhere to get a 88' GL10 wagon (first car) on the road.
