I drive a blue 84 ea81 wagon, usually on my way to the dump in my coworker's toyota when Im driving by though.

I tried searching but couldn't find quite exactly what I'm looking for but I'm going to look at a flywheel, driveline, and 5 spd d/r out of an 86 gl tomorrow to hopefully swap into my 84 wagon and was wondering if there was anything I can do to check the tranny out before wasting my time. The motor is out of the car at the moment so other than making sure it spins, anything else I can do?

I think I might have seen you around. Yeah I'll probably take you up on that Im thinking of just going to make a little 2 inch while I save up for some bigger tires and when I can get that EJ under the hood but yeah, I'll definitely take all the help I can get.

Hey everyone, new here but been lurking about a month or so to get some info. I got an 84 GL Wagon with the EA81 and D/R 4 Spd about a month ago. Really looking to put a bit of a lift on it and do the D/R 5 Spd swap and plop in an EJ22 (just bought a buddies 90 legacy for motor and parts for 50 bucks) So yeah thats the story pretty much, Ill be asking plenty of questions Im sure and Ill post some photos soon.
