I replaced them one at a time to see what one was maybe bad. I did o2 first with no change, then did Tps next with no change. I hate fuel injection! If it was my carbed sube it would have been fixed already.

filter is new but the pump is really loud. Idles great and revs halfway but then as I said it sounds like a rev limiter. In my experiance when its the pump it usally dies slowly but I will checl pressure. thanks!

My brother has a 97 Cavalier 2.2 MPFI and it was showing a code for o2 sensor and TPS. We replaced tha parts and now at about half throttle it acts like the Rev limiter is coming on. Any thoughts?

I put over 10k on an axle with a ripped boot and have over 20k on one that clicked on tight corners since when it was new. IMO it takes alot to break these cv joints.

September 15 and 16th

I got the engine in last night and just got back from a good run with no problems with overheating. The water must have gotten into the intake and around the rings to the oil pan.

This car is at Harry's U pull in PA and we did get a lot of rain two weeks ago. I wish I could have gotten the whole car because it was a 90 2 door sedan with an almost perfect body. Thats why I think the tranny went bad, only an idiot would junk a nice car like that. I got lucky when I pulled it because the tranny was in the trunk and that let me get the engine out in 15 minutes.. I forgot to ad that the intake gaskets where very swollen from the water where the bolts where gone.

The rad was out of the car and from what I can tell it had a bad auto tranny. How do I check freeze plugs? Oh well even if it needs HGs $50 for a 87k engine is a pretty sweat deal because the T belts and idlers and the oil pump looks as if they just replaced everything.

Plugs look great as does the cylinder walls from what i can see through the spark plug holes. It only set there about two weeks with the hood up.

I found an EA82 in a junk yard with 87k on it for $50 but when I pulled the oil drain plug about a cup of water came out but it wasn't mixed with the oil. The JY drains the oil. So my question is if it was missing two intake bolts and one was loose and the hood was up but the intake boot covered the F.I could rain have gotten into the intake around the loose bolts then into the oil pan? I also pulled the filter and there was no water in the oil in it. I can see no signs of a bad HG so I'm hoping the water just seeped into the oil pan.

Harry's upull in Hazlenton has a ton of Ea82 wagons and sedans and a Gaggle of ej22 legacy's and some 1.8 imprezas also seen a 92 legacy turbo wagon. I wont tell you about the almost perfect bodied loyale 4x4 sedan because it made me want to grab it and carry it home. That car should not have been there. Ever look for a place that rebuilds them?

my bro has a 1990 cavalier, it quit on him at 65 mph still has spark and fuel and it will start for a few seconds but then dies. he let it sit for three hours and it ran fine all day but then did the same thing the next day. What could it be? IT is a 2.2 fi. auto just tuned up and fuel filter was changed a month ago.

Its for my 86 wagon and I plan to goto a you pull to get one.

Not this one its not that bad of a hill, Its more like a rally hill climb. I ask a cop if i could pratice, He looked at my car and said yep dosent look like you could hurt it much more then it is. Best part for me is its half a mile away from my house. I just moved so I havent looked at the hill yet but will be getting there this week end!
