Hi I am looking for timing belt tensioners cam and crank seals oil pump seal. Who's the best on line seller of subaru parts? thanks
-
I pulled the water pump, seems the person before my got in a fight with the metal pipe that comes out of the the water pump. Pump got beat up bad. I found a piece of 25mm rubber hose stuffed in as an O-ring. I am just wondering what other things I should look at before putting it back together????

Thanks, do I need to pull the timing belts to remove the water pump? If so I mite as well get the belts on order. My local auto parts dosen't stock much subaru stuff here in the land of BUICK.

I may have screwed up, what do you think? I removed the fan clutch and now the water pump is leaking. Did I do this? I removed the fan clutch by tapping on the shaft, back and forth with a wood block. I installed small 6mm bolts to hold the pully on. checked everything and now I have water dripping from behind one of the timing belt covers right under the waterpump. any ideas

I removed the four small nuts but the fan clutch still seams like it is on there pretty tight. Do I need a puller to remove it. Thanks

ngk plugs, acell coil, cut out bottom of air box and run a k-n filter , gap your plugs at at .45 , 2 inch pipe from the cat back ,turbo muffler , no center cat , if you have a turbo motor , i call it the big football cat cut it out and run 2 in pipe back , there might be a few more like bumping up your timming ,
Do you know the part no. or type of NGK plug to run?

Are there any large sellers of used Subaru parts? The junk yards in my area are out of old subaru's and finding an xt fan clutch is not going to be easy here in Florida.

Thanks for the info! I just bought my 6th subaru, an 88 DL wagon. It is the old lady, only to church on sunday, show room perfect 800 buck deal. Could not pass it up. It will be my wife's car. She always loved the ea81 and 82 wagons we have owned and is sick of her Merced%&$$$s.

David,
Welcome to the Board!
It may be hard to believe, but you have come to the right place.
There is a wealth of experience and information here.
I think a lift is a morale imperative if you possess an older Subaru!
There are tons of threads on lifts and questions about lifts.
I'd bet someone has already asked the same questions that you have and found answers to problems that you'll face......
Try the search thing.........Bet you'll get a great start!
Q. What Do you own?
Q. What are your plans/ideas for this Subie?
